I've never listened to that rule in the military and govt contractor. I was fingering banging a fine coworker at Defense Intelligence Agency HQ a few years ago. I was wild
:shaq:

This is my first private sector job and that might be good advice. And there arent really any fine or young women here.
So you want to discriminate against gilfs or milfs

Congrats and hope you like it. Mgmt ain't for everyone

You cared enough to get to this stage, now you have to convince everyone else to care like you did lol

I'm projecting because I hate leading people and dream of being an IC again haha

7mile to SE & Uptown!
congrats :salute: but I don't know if you really won fam. I been in the field 30 years and management is pretty much a death trap. It's people been in middle level management for ANOTHER 20 YEARS. At least as a consultant/indepent worker you can say fukk 'em and quickly go elsewhere and get more money :martin:

Senior level IC with a hands-off leader that only checks in every month or so >>>>

Yes. A position where you only really have conversations with directors and higher (you don't really answer to anyone). Your projects are massive in scale. You mentor but no one works for you.

Can then pivot to high-level leadership, including c-suite.

The trade-off. You gotta be amazing at what you do.

Getting a company card is equivalent to getting made in the mafia . It's the corporate knighting.

I thought this at 26, when I got my first company card.

Now it's like meh. Large purchases are not made through corporate cards. It's mainly for travel. Would rather book on my joint and take the points.

Exactly, no one is breathing down your neck but best believe they are aware of what they are paying you so you need to deliver on your work

But if you know your stuff, you can have a balanced lifestyle and enjoy other aspects of life/personal projects/side work etc
