Depends on you as a person, your situation, her as a person and where she is in her situation. There's no set time. Too many variables. It just depends honestly. Not that you HAVE to but if you cant live with the person that you are with then you probably shouldnt be in relationship with them.

When you feel the time is right.

Personally, I figure that time is about 2, maybe 2.5 years, give or take a few months. By then I figure should know if I want to give it a trial run for the commit/ring, which is what co-habitation really is.

Me and my wife didn't move in together until our 5th year of being together and I proposed the day she moved in. A year later we got married and decided on a baby a couple of years after that. I made a conscious decision to not rush anything because I refuse to be the old cat having a mid life crisis. I made sure it was all out of my system and I love her so much more for not rushing me to do anything and letting me make the decisions.

ALL of her friends that questioned our relationship are either divorced or single miserable parents. While our son is in a two parent household and living off of two decent salaries.

Y'all nikkas saying 6 months are crazy. I absolutely need my space, that aint gonna change until I'm thinking of marriage....who knows how long but 6 months aint long enough to know a person well enough to live with them.
