Great interview...I'm glad he spoke about how some Black cops are good and necessary to the community... As long as they are Black and live in the communities they police....Otherwise its more like an occupation than community service..

Cool that they played that clip from Reagan...Thought I would never hear that on CNN....

Kanye should hire Mike to ghostwrite his interviews so he can do a better job articulating the points he's trying to make....
You're a delusional fool for taking away 10 rep points for the stupidest reason, but good post.

Why should nelly be obligated to speak on it thou? Just cuz he from the lou? he was never a political/militant/conscious type of rapper thou

thats like expecting hammer to speak on the oscar grant killing in oakland

 Hammer would have represented if he spoke.

Nelly should have stayed his ass in his mansion.

Being a member of the NRA is a good thing. The NRA initially supported the black panthers, do your research fam.

A lot of gun laws were made to prevent blacks from strapping up:

Anytime a republican wants to talk about gun rights and liberals taking guns away, give them this ether:

End of discussion.

I think the NRA is a horrible organization BUT I definitely think blacks need to go back to owning registered legal guns. If you want to quickly expose the 2nd Amendment obsession as being "for whites only," get a bunch of black dudes to open carry outside a red state govt building.

It's a gang of rappers who talk that "positive" shyt and uplifting messages, but it's all talk. Mike is one of them dudes who walks and talks, I've seen him, boots on the ground in the community since the early 2000s when Monster dropped. I differ on some of his viewpoints, but his points are always eloquent and well thought out.

Mike was good here, but let's not fall into the trap of thinking that because someone is right on one issue that you then have to support their stances on other issues. Just in the clip of that song alone it's clear that I wouldn't want him having to go into the specifics of the prison system. And @gator_king is right about him with the "they'd be willing to do it to everyone" message but it's the logical move. I wouldn't penalize him for that.

We need to treat entertainers like specialists, don't expect them to speak on things that are not their expertise. At best they can point people in the direction of those who can.

Kanye doesn't come across well for the simple fact that he is completely self absorbed...and it's hard for him to hide it..
