You know the definition of a neo liberal?
I think that's why TeaBagger misunderstood me.
It's my usage of the word neolib.
I agree I use it in a different manner than many as to what it means in my mind, ya that's true.
When I think of a neocon I think of super corrupt republicans that are the most hawkish, and want more and more power.
I just use the word Neolib as the Democratic party version of neocon.
Henry Giroux, social theorist and author of the new book, “
America at War With Itself,” defines neoliberalism as an “economic and political policy” that empowers “elites … to consolidate political and economic power in their own interests.”
However Neolibs go one step further with that definition above, they are extremely PC and very pro-war.
The most that they ever offer is mere symbolism and tokenism. Giving a large visible amount of support to the LGBTQ community, saying you gotta say pronouns, being pro-woman, pro-abortion etc..
Being PC is all about offering tokenism and futile symbolism to spark the base and make new talking points and keep the momentum going while being able to complete avoid talking about corruption and endless wars.
I'm pro-abortion btw, I only mentioned abortion because there's not war money there, there's not billions of dollars there, if you follow the money it doesn't lead you to an abortion debate that's why I mentioned it.
If you look at the below do Democrat elites really not subscribe to this? They may not vocally say this, but their actions mean it.
By the definition below Democrat elites are neoliberal behind closed doors but social justice warriors in front of cameras. And they are always for more war and more power, that's how I use the word in my mind.
"It believes that the market is basically the answer to solving all problems, that profit-making is basically the essence of democracy, that the only obligation of citizenship is consumerism. It celebrates the values of privatization, deregulation and consumption. It suggests that businesses should regulate themselves. It argues that self-interest is the highest ideal with respect in some way to addressing the common good. It has a deep disdain for public goods, for the common good. It operates off the assumption that competition in a kind of shock-like mode of interaction is the only way to really survive in society. It embraces a kind of warlike assumption regarding social relations, meaning that the best way to get ahead is to pit oneself with each other."
