Exactly. The only part about Chappelle that I've found to be a bit cringe over the last couple of years is when he toots his own horn in such an obnoxious way. But that speech was great and actually had some funny moments in it. And I'm not even sure it was supposed to.

Dave may give us a joke here and there now, but he's at the point of his career and life that it's time he start keeping it real and if it goes wrong he's well aware and ready to accept the consequences.
