Again, her music from the past has largely been forgotten. On the real, people were naming songs on this thread that I had not thought about for years. Her music isnt deep and has no real heartfelt feelings. Her music isnt special.

When she did the Super Bowl show, I couldnt think of one song I wanted to hear from her outside of Crazy in Love.

She is a big star because she is a big star. Not because she makes earth moving music.

I think this is the correct word. Beyonce doesnt make memorable music for the masses. Popular, and big time hits but outside of Crazy In Love, I couldnt think of another Beyonce song until someone mentioned Single Ladies.

In saying that, she is nowhere near as bad as Alicia Keys who gives nothing musically and has done nothing memorable, on her own with the exception of the New York song which only became THAT song once JayZ got on it.

2001 - 2005 alicia keys was killing it, making classics, but i do agree she is completely trash now.


As for beyonce shes never made anything that hit me in my heart so i respect her as a performer and a singer but i dont connect with her. She makes pop music with no heart that will sell well and its worked for her, thats her lane, thats her avenue. She will be remembered her songs will be forgotten, its all pretty much been said in this thread.

this makes no sense. There is no, "cuz she is a megastar..." music is music. Group Home's "Supastar" is a classic song, and they were not megastars or even good rappers. Classic music is classic music, it doesnt have to hit to be a classic.

I knew one of her songs and wanted to hear it. I wasnt a big Bruce Springstein fan, but I wanted to hear songs like Glory Days, Born to Run, Dancing in the Dark, etc when he performed.

The fact that I could only think of Crazy In Love for an artist that is probably the biggest pop star in the world today is an indictment of that artist.
