Yea but i'm sure people can name 10 certified Classic songs from each artist without even thinking about it cause those 4 artist albums and music are timeless. Beyonce has had some big songs but a lot of her music is way to formula driven. "Who run the world" is the perfect example of the public finally putting her in her place with making generic songs. That song flopped so hard, she thought she could do another Female empowerment song and it would hit
#1 and finally the public said "No more".
Look at her LP's, she's dropped 4 LP's, how many of them are Classic albums? Maybe "Dangerously in Love" and that's borderline, everything else wasn't Classic material. This is a debate I've had with someone in the past so when I saw the thread I thought of that debate. Mariah, Whitney, Janet and Sade have 4 Certified CLASSIC albums apiece and we ain't even talking songs.
That's the difference, they made Hits and CLASSICS. This is a great debate for me cause for a long time I've felt people got it wrong when they think just cause a song hit
#1 it was Classic. That's not true, all that proves was it was popular at that time. I'm not saying Beyonce music won't be remembered cause it will but it's easy to see her music just doesn't hold up with the Greats that she's put up with.
