After X-Men: Apocalypse they need to reboot the franchise.

I'm not really a fan of reboots but I think it's time to reboot the X-Men film franchise. It's been going strong since 2000 and produced some good films and put Hugh Jackman on the map and helped play a role in the popularity of super hero films.

With Apocalypse being the last X-Men film Jennifer Lawrence will be in and Hugh Jackman calling it quits after Wolverine 3 next year I think it would be a good time to start from scratch. Disney/Marvel aren't getting the rights anytime soon since the X-Men franchise is making Fox a lot of money so let's not even go there.

I would like to see the the reboot take place in the present day with a new take on characters. It would be hard to replace Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy as Magneto and Professor X but I wouldn't mind them keeping them and just ignoring the previous films.

So what do y'all think. Who would you cast as Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean, Rogue, etc.

I think they should retire this franchise. I honestly just don't think it translated well to film. That and I think they should have just done the phoenix saga or they should have done like Onslaught or something. Instead they've just been fukking with the same ole Mutants being rounded up type shyt this whole time.

As far as replacing actors and keep certain ones. They've already done that and its been kind of a cluster fukk, in my opinion.

Marvel should be proven enough that they can do shyt with groups like X-Force, the Inhumans, Alphaflight etc...I don't even think people are really amped for the new Xmen movie.

It kinda of is, non of the OG's are in it , first class was like mesh of a prequel meets reboot, DOFP was the swan song to the old heads. And this one is basically degrassi the next class why else do you think the buzz for this is nonexistent

that's part of the problem and it all stems from singer, shyt feels mad self contained. Aren't the stakes in X-Men meant to threaten worlds and galaxies? Everything in these flix just happens within a city

honestly wouldn't mind fox/disney working something out... these characters belong in the mceu
