Better producer: Quik

Greater producer: RZA

Legacy wise, only producer touching RZA is Dre.

But skills wise/talent, Quik is about as good as it gets.

Who makes better beats and music in general, quik.
Who's had a better career,rza.
I personally would never listen to rza's beats over quik's

I grew up on 70s and 80s funk because of my parents, and DJ quick always sounded like rehash of that stuff. It was boring to me.

RZAs music was a totally new sound--a sound that changed the world.

(1) Stop being a drama queen...

(2) You simply CANNOT compare your favorite local burger joint to franchises like McDonalds, Burger King and etc...The RZA's production is the foundation on which the Wu Tang Brand is built...

The Wu symbol is one of the MOST recognizable symbols across the GLOBE...It is DISRESPECTFUL to compare DJ Quik to The RZA...

(3) Compare DJ Quik to guys like J Dilla, Madlib and the likes...Local heroes...RZA, DJ Premier (even though I think he is OVERRATED), Dr Dre, Kanye West are GLOBAL FRANCHISES...

I wouldn't even put DJ Quik on the same level as Havoc, who is SEVERELY underrated...

(4) DJ Quik just DOES NOT the instantly recognizable bangers in his catalog...No rappers are freestyling over DJ Quik beats...If you take away his contribution, I don't believe Hip Hop will be changed that much...

You take away RZA's contribution, and we would NOT recognize Hip Hop...The course of Hip Hop would be COMPLETELY different...

this is what happens when you give a 13 year old a wu tang album

rza's beats sound like they were made 15 years before quiks

36 chambers is basically unlistenable, just because he was going for that low-fi sound doesn't change the fact that it simply doesn't sound good

Not going to get caught up in the hype of who Vs. who but Quik has definately made his own name while RZA made whole albums with Wu members.

Quik has NEVER had the luxury of a Ghostface, GZA, Raekwon or a Method Man to CONSISTENTLY rap over his beats, so in effect, its really half RZA's beats and half a Wu rapper.

Probably a better question would be solo; who would pick a Bobby Digital album over a DJ Quik album?

That run Rza had in his prime was remarkable... 36 chambers, tical, obfcl, liquid swords, iron man etc ...plus mad other classics

Quik is cool as a producer but i can think of him producing some of the greatest albums of all time back to back ....not to mention rza came through with a unique lo-fi sound

Quik couldn't carry Rza's Bobby Digital mask on his best day.

that era of rza was bullshyt and only sounds good now because of the shytty rap music we hear nowadays:stopitslime:

but by the time 98' rolled around, the general consensus was that rza had fallen off :comeon:

meanwhile in 98', quik was givin' us somethin' to dance to :stylin: and put on at a cookout :cook:

quik even bought el debarge back :blessed:
