Funny how nobody talks about Trump's age even though he's older... and women live longer than men.
Incumbents are extremely hard to beat, unless your first term is beyond disastrous.
The economy wasn't exactly booming when Obama got reelected either:jawalrus:
Yeah because Trump has shown to be full of energy and displays no signs of a 70 year old man

Dems had 59 seats for most of 09 while Franken's win was disputed in Minnesota. Obama still had to compromise with conservative/southern democrats too. Luckily those types have been wiped out for the most part. Whereas democrats had complete control of the House and Pelosi got everything she wanted done.

Hillary will have to deal with Paul Ryan, who cannot control the House. He's too nice and eventually will be brought down by the insanity going on there.
People were blaming Obama for not pushing for the "public option" in Obamacare. But the democratic majority was just a numeric, not liberal.
He had zero chance with these conservative "democrats" in office:

Joe Lieberman: He loudly threatened to vote against the bill if the public option was included (his wife was also a health insurance executive)
Ben Nelson: Obama had to bend over to get his vote... Remember the "cornhusker kickback"?
Max Baucus
Mary Landrieu
Arlen Specter
(he switched parties in 2009 and it still couldn't save his ass)
Mark Pryor
Jon Tester
Blanche Lincoln
Jim Webb
Evan Bayh
Kent Conrad

The bill passed 60-39 just to break the filibuster thru reconciliation. Obama needed every single one of those votes.
Those senators paid the price too: none of them was reelected.

She could be a two termer if there is a war.. she is a neo-con warhawk afterall :yeshrug:

But I really see her only being a one term president. She's not likable.

And 2020 will be the earliest that the other players will be ready for the big one :demonbey:

Hopefully we, as Black people, actually pool your money together and back one of these candidates financially and get our agendas met, instead of just blindly voting for Hillary again and watching as she ignores us for the next four years... like the last couple of Dems before.

As Black folk we should have either backed Rand Paul or Bernie Sanders. That's my opinion anyway.

I've actually never thought Trump would beat her, just hoped he would. This is the country that elected GWB twice, of course they'll elect Hillary :russ:
Is this the same country that elected Obama?

Rand Paul, and Ron Paul before that, would have been amazing. Unfortunately they both met a similar fate as Bernie - the media completely against them and many questionable non democratic processes meant to push them to the sidelines.
