Every year Texas has some catastrophic weather event that makes you question why you would want to move there in the first place.

We don't have 8 months of winter. Hell we don't even get bad winters anymore, we barely get any snow now

The kids who died/still missing in this July 4th flood were at Camp Mystic. It's where Republican politicians send their kids for the past 100 yrs. Laura Bush was a camp counselor there. A lot of Reagans cabinet were camp counselors there etc...

last year, y'all just had one of the largest wildfires in us history.

and good Lord, don't let it snow down there.

but really it's the hurricanes.
in addition to the politics.
in addition to the large settlement of hostile foreign actors.

snow doesn't phase me. there's not a lot happening up here where someone can be devastated and lose their home.

yes, we have tornados but that really is a risk for the more rural outer lying exurbs. but even still, infrastructure is in place to deal with those scenarios.

People in here talking about the second largest state in the union like it’s not supposed to have natural weather events. There are floods, fires and other weather events every where. What makes Texas suck is how the state leadership responds to said events.
