@LakotaMan1
Why are Texas officials blasting the National Weather Service when Trump was the one who ordered the agency’s defunding?
2/31
@LakotaMan1
Texas is flooding and MAGA’s are looking for someone to blame.
Warning these people is becoming increasingly redundant and futile.
3/31
@KregerPatricia
Deflection, deflection, deflection

@PiercePress
They don't want retaliation.

@Rudysrambles

@BearsFanSteven
Because they are all spineless cowards.
7/31
@OhioHogWatch
They dont want you to know the real blame so they can offer the privatized version.
Accuweather is responsible for this.

@CodyAlanAllred
They have defunded nothing that would have made a difference yesterday. The cuts werent even codified in congress. There were non-stop warnings going out by the hour and days leading up to it. Weather radios were working. Weather apps were working. There were dozens of Live-streams that were giving out minute by minute warnings and information. Pretty much any weather app was giving out flash flood emergency warnings as it was happening. It’s so extremely in bad taste for you to disrespect everyone that was doing the best job they could in getting out the needed information to warn as many people as they could. Weather models can’t model and predict freak weather incidents like the one yesterday. Don’t post and pretend you know all about the weather that you don’t know how it works just to make things political.

@Cathy2NotToday
we are in for a whallop this year in Florida given they put that concentration camp on sacred Indian Everglades lands ….I’m sure that law they passed to ban “chemtrails” will appease the gods ( not)
It’s a disgrace on so many levels
10/31
@GrumpyGamer_73
Because they are big pussies who are afraid to call out Trump’s incompetence.
11/31
@ThomasBLarson
FINGER POINTING is normal human behavior, when someone DOES NOT WANT TO BE BLAMED.
And by the way, those "cuts" don't go into effect until OCTOBER OF 2025!

@ballenvids
I'll add your comment to the rest.

BREAKING - Democrats are now celebrating the tragic flash flooding in Kerr County, Texas, that claimed the lives of several innocent children, saying the state “deserves what they’re getting.”

@MohSalarb
They are like cult followers showing showing obedience to their cult leader Trump.

@LadyJusticeTC

@emceedebris
What the fukk is going on? What’s going on is the predictable consequence of a political movement that’s spent decades waging war on public infrastructure, scientific literacy, and the very idea of collective responsibility—now caught with its pants down while the sky falls, and still somehow trying to blame the janitor.
Texas is underwater. People are dead. Families are wrecked. Your son’s friends are living through trauma they’ll carry for life. And the response from Texas officials? Not action. Not accountability. Not policy. But finger-pointing. At the National Weather Service.
Let’s talk about that.
The same NWS that’s been chronically underfunded, its forecasting tech and staff gutted—by the very GOP officials now grandstanding on camera pretending they’re shocked. Trump’s 2021 budget explicitly tried to slash NWS staff and programs. Republican lawmakers backed it. Rick Perry called climate change a hoax, and Greg Abbott’s emergency management record is a collage of avoidable disasters. These people aren’t just unprepared—they’re willfully negligent.
This is weaponized incompetence.
20/31
@KidWhimsical
Don’t the cuts actually start in 2026?
21/31
@Phil23310492
Funny how the red state of Texas is blasting the new Trump NWS, the funny thing is the trolls have jumped all over me suggesting the floods could not be prevented, completing missing the point that early weather warnings saves lives, imagine we haven’t reached tornado or hurricane season and Americans are all ready tragically dying .
22/31
@Jujubemad
Why are they even holding that presser. No new or critical info. Just a whole bunch of pats on the back.
Sorry, but Desantis does pressers right. Gives info, shelters, numbers to call for missing, donations.
And he doesn't need Sec Noem or 15 guys standing behind him.
23/31
@Manygoats_TX
Is it Trump’s job to give Weather reports?
24/31
@JaniceBoyles8
And I'm watching Kristi noem.
Damn where was she during the California fires....
25/31
@1dailyshot
