why are folks thinking she's doing this for punk? maybe she's burned out, maybe she's healing up, maybe she's tired of traveling

Getting married or spending time with her fiance. As soon as she gets married WWE is going to get thrown in the bushes so she can spend time with her husband and start having babies. :
Vince expects ALL of his wrestlers to be workhorses. He does not like people taking time off, nor does he freely give it to them unless there's a good reason (they were a draw, they were injured, they are planning on leaving and not sure if they are going to renew and he thinks they are valuable for former divas see: Beth Phoenix, Lita, Trish Stratus (yes she was thinking of leaving in 04 when she took that long break), Bella Twins, Maryse...)
We've seen this before. He expects people to give 200% and never take time off. If he's giving her time it's a clear sign that:
1.) she's thinking of leaving
2.) her contract is coming up and she's thinking of leaving
3.) she's getting married and thinking of leaving
We've seen this happen enough times to know what is actually going on. He's trying to conjole her by giving her time, but in the end this rarely works out with these females. The only time it does is if they are not getting knocked up and married. See: Bella Twins, who actually came back.
And AJ has only been on the real roster for about 3 years that is absolutely nothing. Kelly had to wait 6 years before they gave her a real break and then she decided to quit after she had her time off.
AJ is burned out? Who cares. So is every other wrestler on the roster. You don't get time off unless Vince thinks your valuable and is trying to make sure you don't leave. He doesn't give a fukk.

Kelly Kelly wasn't only wrestling either those 6 years she did a lot of promotional stuff that didn't involve wrestling at all.
There's been plenty of guys he told to take a break and they didn't because they fear for their spot. Paul London wasn't a hot commodity in WWE 1st time he asked for his time off they gave it to him [burn out] he came back and soon asked for another time off.
Every other wrestler isn't burned out, if your not getting used your not burned out and there's plenty of people thats not used.
Naomi and Brie just got married, neither one took a long break. Miz just got married didn't take a long break.
