People would probably think some fan jumped the barricade and trashed their homemade belt.

They should do a storyline where he has to earn his way into wwe start him on nxt acknowledge he worked or other companies and that hhh is sick of having guys like him around so he's gonna leave him on nxt to languish until he quits

- Regarding AJ Styles leaving TNA, it is not part of the storyline that they began a few months ago. Things could change between now and December 16th but Styles is indeed leaving TNA if they don’t.

Styles is currently taking independent bookings and word is that he’s asking between $3,000 and $4,000 per appearance. It was noted that Styles’ scheduled Q&A tour of the UK was pushed back due to a Diamond Dallas Page tour taking place around the same time but another reason for the delay is that TNA’s lawyers sent legal letters to the promoters to make sure they weren’t infringing on anything TNA owns rights to.

The main problem between TNA and AJ is money. TNA simply would not give him what he wanted. Now there’s a feeling within TNA, with so many contracts coming up in the next year, that a lot of guys are going to end up signing deals for less than they were previously making just to keep their jobs. The feeling is if TNA wouldn’t give AJ Styles more money, then they probably won’t be giving any one else more money.

This is probably a work but I wish it was real. My biggest beef by far with TNA is how consistently they've shyt on AJ Styles (who is supposed to be the cornerstone of their company.

TNA had such a hard on for ex-WWE talent that they continually threw Styles under the bus so they could hype up some washed up ex-WWE person. Virtually every fukking time he was TNA champion some other person was the focal point of his feud. Then they kept fukking with his gimmick by having him do cheap impersonations of other wrestlers.....

WWE doesn't want Styles, and he'd be treated worse than D-Bryan. TNA should be ashamed of wasting that guys potential.

Dudes 36....shoulda gone to wwe when he had the chance... Too little too, late i guess....

He bet on himself, which was a smart decision, he just didn't account for how incompetent TNA management could be...He remained loyal to a company that showed little loyalty to him even when he was CLEARLY the top guy in their company.

I've lost track of how many times AJ has been on a hot run only for TNA to bring in some old piece of shyt to take the spotlight from him or suddenly decide to switch up AJ's gimmick.

I thought the Ric Flair impersonation was the worst till they started doing that emo bullshyt trying to recreate the crow angle Sting had in WCW

I liked Darkside AJ...or at least thought it had good potential. Because it came from a real place and was an absolute lob of a storyline. No idea's original in wrestling - so no shame in borrowing from Crow Stink. As long as he wasn't rocking paint and dropping from the rafters, I was good.

They half assed it, botched the progression and rushed the resolution — and him "turning back" into P1 still got a good response from the crowd. Like Hardy's heel run, I think this could have worked if handled properly. (also if he were clean in Hardy's case)

And again, AJ is in the middle of what's been a pretty solid story for them — and it's being mishandled, because he probably isn't going to work for them anymore :dead:

How you don't find the money for AJ is beyond me though. He's just a guy you do a solid for and cut losses elsewhere. Him (cornerstone) and Roode (best current homegrown talent) gotta be taken care of.

They wouldn't have to worry about cutting guys pay if they hadn't kept blowing so much money on ex-WWE guys. You know damn well Hogan, Flair, and Bischoff were getting paid more than just about everybody else otherwise they wouldn't have bothered with TNA...They money they wasted on those guys could have been given to AJ and Joe (another guy they continually misuse).

I'd guess it was being poorly prepared to go on the road that hurt more. They've been paying ex-WWE guys forever. They were on the road for a few months and had to start firing people left and right.

They shouldn't have attempted to go on the road in the first place. They were struggling to bring in people in that little ass territory that they had. You gotta lock down home before you take your show on the road.

And while they had been paying ex-WWE guys from day one when Hogan, BIschoff, and Flair showed up you KNOW they were getting payed more than anybody that had been there before them. those three guys play hardball when it comes to showing up anywhere as they not working for some bullshyt indy payscale. Hogan and Bischoff in particular wont work for anything less than mid six figures and they were getting paid directly from Panda energy (just in case TNA went under during their stint).

Per Meltzer in the Observer, as soon as TNA got wind that WWE wasn't interested in AJ Styles, they decided to make AJ a really low offer, with the mentality that he'd have to take it since he had nowhere else to go and would just have to take what they offered him. Instead he just left.
