TPC
Justice and Policing Act
Didn’t pass the Senate. So Biden never had a chance to sign it into law.
For a law to be passed, it has to pass in both the House and Senate. Then it goes to the President who can either sign into into law or veto it and it doesn’t become law. The President cannot unilaterally pass laws.

Never listen to a dude that make money doing what he does for a living.
Reporting on things that happen in the rap community? :mjlol:

You nikkas have more smoke for Akademics than the dudes he’s reporting on. A thread about a Chicago or NY drill artist on here will have multiple pages of folks saying how hard the album is and they can’t wait to bump it while riding around. It’s cool to support dudes who terrorize their own community, but let someone make videos about shyt artist brag & make songs about & then y’all want to clown the reporter :dead:

People are starting to regret voting for Biden...

Biden helped construct the crime bill that helped put away black folks and cats still voted for him.

Biden= New School racism that'll always let some token groups get admitted but black folks stay at the bottom no matter what.

Trump= Old school, direct in your face racism.

It was a another pick your poison choice.

We'll see in 2025.

A crime bill that got violent offenders off the street? :why:

Some of you nikkas will let anyone rob or assault you if they’re black.

Black folks want to get behind Trump so bad now it’s killing them. They want other black people to know that Trump is that dude. It’s pretty disgusting
I don't know why when trump has rallied more white supremacist than his 4 years as president than any other in recent history

The republican party is the party of overt white supremacy. I don't know why black folks want any part of that mess that it is now.

fukk Trump and the Republican party.
Not voting for Trump, but people are going to look back at the Trump presidency/Covid time , as some of the best times of their lives. That will make people at least look at Trump differently .
"You know what? trump promoted the racist replacement theory that fired up many domestic terrorists, enacted racist policies and committed criminal acts while in-and-out of office including smuggling classified documents...but you know what? those were some of the best times of my life.

:blessed:
:mjlol:
Nah.

Trump's negligence caused hundreds of thousands of Americans to die.

If This idea of a revisionist spin from a nostalgia tinted lens catches on we are doomed as a society.

Trump had the Central Park five shyt which showed how much of a piece of shyt he is. Did people not see what he said when people were pissed of the George Floyd killing? Trump is no different from any other racist president.

People's RATIONAL is they rather see what they got and know what they are dealing with than being misled and lied to, even though all presidents will have to, but people love trump because he's entertaining and gives you something to talk about, keeps you on your feet and they respect his "realness". Some black people want an outdoor racist than an indoor racists.

I don't think in our lifetime we would see the changes we would love to see. Absolute fair treatment, equal opportunities, no racism, no poverty, living in harmony. I feel like that is hundreds of years away. Our society is just starting to tap into and crack into being more conscious in a way, but we are so so far away.

I feel like our world should be led by philosophers and scientist or for political groups to have this more of a forefront.

Biden helped them enact the Stop Asian Hate Bill but when it came to the George Floyd bill, it's crickets.

The "Stop Asian Hate" bill passed the Senate 94-1 because it did almost nothing. It slightly streamlined the reporting and review of hate crimes and dolled out some extremely small public outreach grants to local/state governments. It was measly.

This bill aims to make the reporting of hate crimes more accessible at the local and state levels by boosting public outreach and ensuring reporting resources are available online in multiple languages.

It also directs the Department of Justice to designate a point person to expedite the review of hate crimes related to COVID-19 and authorizes grants to state and local governments to conduct crime-reduction programs to prevent and respond to hate crimes.

The George Floyd Justice in Policing Act would have been far more meaningful:

The legislation, described as expansive,[4] would:

  • Grant power to the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division to issue subpoenas to police departments as part of "pattern or practice" investigations into whether there has been a "pattern and practice" of bias or misconduct by the department[10]
  • Provide grants to state attorneys general to "create an independent process to investigate misconduct or excessive use of force" by police forces[11]
  • Establish a federal registry of police misconduct complaints and disciplinary actions[11]
  • Enhance accountability for police officers who commit misconduct, by restricting the application of the qualified immunity doctrine for local and state officers,[10][12] and by changing the mens rea (intent) element of 18 U.S.C. § 242 (the federal criminal offense of "deprivation of rights under color of law," which has been used to prosecute police for misconduct) from "willfully" to "knowingly or with reckless disregard"[13]
  • Require federal uniformed police officers to have body-worn cameras[11][4]
  • Require marked federal police vehicles to be equipped with dashboard cameras.[11]
  • Require state and local law enforcement agencies that receive federal funding to "ensure" the use of body-worn and dashboard cameras.[4]
  • Restrict the transfer of military equipment to police[11] (see 1033 program, militarization of police)
  • Require state and local law enforcement agencies that receive federal funding to adopt anti-discrimination policies and training programs, including those targeted at fighting racial profiling[4]
  • Prohibit federal police officers from using chokeholds or other carotid holds (which led to the death of Eric Garner), and require state and local law enforcement agencies that receive federal funding to adopt the same prohibition[4]
  • Prohibit the issuance of no-knock warrants (warrants that allow police to conduct a raid without knocking or announcing themselves) in federal drug investigations, and provide incentives to the states to enact a similar prohibition.[4]
  • Change the threshold for the permissible use of force by federal law enforcement officers from "reasonableness" to only when "necessary to prevent death or serious bodily injury."[4]
  • Mandate that federal officers use deadly force only as a last resort and that de-escalation be attempted, and condition federal funding to state and local law enforcement agencies on the adoption of the same policy.[4]

The act passed the House in 2021 on a 220-212 vote in the very first month of Biden's presidency, with nearly every Democrat voting for it and every single Republican voting against it. It then went to the Senate where the Republicans all opposed it. To get through the Senate it needs 60 votes, meaning at least 10 Republicans, and they refused to do it.

The Republicans offered a compromise bill that didn't tighten the rules on police behavior in a single way. The ONLY thing the bill did was give more funding to police departments for equipment, training, and hiring, increase some reporting requirements, and "encourage" police to use better tactics.

You're literally angry at Biden for not doing something he fully supported and Republicans blocked. Make it make sense.
