:ehh:

I rather rock with the "we're all slaves to a degree "analogy rather than trying to make a certain industry akin to chattel slavery....

they are still explicitly mimicking several aspects of the peculiar type of slavery forced upon dark skinned people past and present. Indentured servitude was slavery, but the difference between that experience, and that of the the negro/moor/indios/african is damn near incomprehensible to someone who isn't black.

I'm saying. take a look at the NFL scouting combine. that's more like modern day slavery than anything. they not even getting paid at that point.

The 215
This is just common sense... Ask any brother if they wanna be in Lebron shoes.... then ask them if they wanna be a slave..... and then with a straight face, tell them its the same thing......... :deadrose:
Man ask the dude y'all going back and forth with whether he rather have Lebrons situation or his own (from a money and what he's doing to get the money standpoint) that's all you need to know for the majority of these dudes disagreeing. Dudes calling a guy making like 40-50mill a year a slave while most on here ain't even seeing 40-50k a year. Crazy times we in right now.

So, like I figured... You really can't explain yourself....... Not at all actually.... You have yet to connect the dots to Lebron's current situation, and slavery by any name.... :mjlol:

Go finish playing with yaself nikka...... :camby:
I have you're just too stupid to comprehend.

Let's try this again. Lebron is controlled by white corporations and he's used to maintain the status quo. For an example of what I'm talking about just look at his response to the Tamir Rice story and the calls from the community for him to speak out. This was his public response:

“For me, I’ve always been a guy who’s took pride in knowledge of every situation that I've ever spoke on. And to be honest, I haven’t really been on top of this issue. So it’s hard for me to comment,” James said, according to ESPN. “I understand that any lives that [are] lost, what we want more than anything is prayer and the best for the family, for anyone. But for me to comment on the situation, I don’t have enough knowledge about it.”

Now we all know that's bullshyt. We all know that he's seen the video and has taken a position on the incident. The reason that he made this bytchmade cop out of a statement is because he was told to do so. He cannot speak his mind in public and must play the politically correct "safe negro" role to keep his corporate masters happy. He's a "100 million dollar slave" in that context.

Now you try to see if you can put your c00n bytchmade feminine nature to the side and dispute what I've just said like a man.

So, if LeBron's a slave at 65 million, then is Dellavedova a slave too? Birdman? :jbhmm:

Is Steph Curry a slave or does being the son of a former NBA player rule him out? :jbhmm:
Gordon Hayward's over in Utah clocking 40 minutes a game for WAY less. :jbhmm:

Slavery or nah? ...is this a subjective thing or does it vary by position & style of play? :jbhmm:

what status quo are you referring too? Also, how do you know he's not being genuine, or are you just interjecting a narrative for the sake of trying to make a point.

Last, this has shyt to do with the slave storyline but I'll play........... was Bron perpetuating the status quo when he said this in regards to Trayvon?

"It was very emotional, an emotional day for all of us," James said. "Taking that picture, we're happy that we're able to shed light on the situation that we feel is unjust."

You trying to cherry pick one statement out of a man's 13 year career and make it the summation of his character... and not only is it irresponsible... its intellectually disingenuous

The rules and regulations to be an NBA star, are pretty strict and ridiculous. Every attempt is made to make the athletes mainstream friendly and non threatening. They can't make political stances, they can't speak on social issues freely, they can't even dress how they want to in the public eye. And all for a corporations who rakes in billions off of their talent. Yes the players make millions, but what's a billion to hundreds of Billions per year?
