She obviously married Al due to his bank account and notoriety and he knows that. He’s 83 and realizes he’s in the winter years of life so he’ll enjoy it while he can and get some good sex out of it. There’s really no love in this relationship at all. He’ll probably be outta here by the time his son hits the teen years, if not before that. Both parties seem to be OK with this. Weird?
