There was no interview process. They wanted Kirby. Period. Didn't even contact HermanMy point isn't that.....the NFL has a rule where there has to be a black candidate interviewed........I know thesein the SEC won't let that fly.....Since I don't know, who was the last real black coaching candidate interviewed for a head coaching position in football for the SEC? Maybe Missouri will get it done after this year since they need a new coach next year.

I'm more excited about Scott than Kirby. Dude gets me hypethat voice
Agreed. It's really hard for black coaches to break throughI'm not going at Georgia breh....don't let the Auburn logo fool you.....I'm just thinking out loud about inequality in the coaching ranks and would like to see more black head coaches everywhere since over 50% of players on most teams are black.
Yea i don't want Dino to get "ruined" by getting a gig TOO big for him too soon. Get a place like UVA up and going consistently and THEN make the leap like 3-4 years from now. Heck he could make that program something and don't even have to leave

If Auburn gets rid of Malzahn anytime soon, I would hope they openly interview a black head or assistant coach from somewhere.
Thats why i brought up franklin. Head coaches are like CEO's these days so his mediocre coaching abilities wouldn't matter. He would be at a program where money is no object, and could hire the best assistants. And a breh head coaching in the state of Georgia would eat so lovely off of Georgia and the surrounding area's insane talent pool. So many great athletes from the state are stolen by Auburn, Tennessee, etc because of their recruiters..........
And please dont bring up Charlie Strongs lack of success (albeit in another conference). Dude has the personality of a can of paint. A energetic, charismatic breh head coaching in the SEC would EAT
I don't think a black coach would do any better based on his skin color.
Truth. Randall Godfrey the same and he hasn't played in Athens in almost 20 yearsA huge amount of the recruiters that truly do the dirty work are black at sec schools. That's why they get retained even when staffs change. The homie Thomas brown has that role at uga. He damn near has a job for life. Once he butters up the kids, and makes a connection the head coach or one of the two coordinators just puts the icing on. Saying we have a young black coach instead of some stale old white man in charge of your future, might appeal to some kids, u never know
South Carolina already got Tom Herman, just waiting on the Houston season to end.

He just reupped with Houston like two days ago.Good shyt.
That's why it wouldn't matter as much Most staffs have that. Coach McClendon is that guy in Athens.A huge amount of the recruiters that truly do the dirty work are black at sec schools. Nobody wants to go to Soutgh Carolina like that, no offense.
Spurriers name in recruiting took them to where they went under him. And even then, that stopped working eventually.
