Good thread

Pras was trash as a solo artist. That song only blew up because Ol Dirty went to the wrong studio and got on the song.
It might have been Mya's first appearance, and if it wasnt, she wasnt a hot enough star at the time to add much.

Pras was a guest on his own record.
Hip hop fans knew he was trash and stayed away from his solo album.
The pop fans who blew the Fugees up stayed away too.
i never even realized until today that ODB was a featured artist on it :mjlol:

Throw Some D’s should’ve propelled this nikka into stardom, instead he fell into obscurity :francis:

Why must you mimick these wack MCs?
Why do you choose to listen to R & B?
Why must you think that something is phat because its played on the radio 20 times a day?

Simon Says was such a monster hit (pun) that at the time I assumed it blew the album up. Apparently not.

if i remember correctly didnt monch get sued for the simon says sample

here we go

In 2001, Pharoahe Monch was sued by Toho for the song's uncleared use of a sample from Akira Ifukube's Gojira Tai Mosura (the theme to Godzilla vs. Mothra) in the hook. As a result, the distribution of Internal Affairs was halted.[2][3]
