Agreed, his introspective lyrics have been refreshing. You can really see him maturing with each album release, rare for most artists.

:wow:

Idk how nikkas can listen to this and say he fell off :wow:

I don't think he fell off. I just think he made a decision to change his style, and I think he's very skilled, but I just don't prefer his newer style as much as his old one.

I think it's a deliberate artistic choice. It just doesn't land as hard with me.

Hopefully there’s some drums involved
I hope so too.

The funny shyt is this is kind of a meme. Because most of what he's been doing has been way more drum heavy the past few years. Lulu and Tea in China were basically all drums. Alfredo definitely had more lighter drum joints. I was expecting Haram to be entirely drumless, but only a few beats on there didn't have drums. @T.H.E. Goat and @NVious even pointed out that the drums on Lulu were mad different and almost sounded like live drums.

It's always a toss up with Alc. I never know what to expect with this dude. When I'm expecting all drumless (like Lulu or Haram) it's almost all drums. Then when I expect more drums (like Alfredo or Boldface) it's more drumless.

Total coin toss. I'm definitely hoping there's some snappy drums on it though.

I’m hearing this Alchemist joint Friday is a 4 track EP like Bread and Lunch Meat.

1. Earl and Navy
2. Boldy and Sideshow
3. Pink Siifu and Maxo
4. Earl

I guess we’ll see.

This seems about right. Earl, Navy and Alch all posted the same pic. Was hoping a full Earl album, but that doesn't seem likely.

I wouldn't be surprised if we get one at some point in the future, but I'm not expecting one anytime soon. Which is weird because I think they even finished an EP a few years ago. But for some reason I just don't see one dropping real soon.

Earl sounds energized on this. I expected to hate this EP after seeing this cover art and just having a gut feeling it would be on some drumless artsy shyt, as opposed to harder beats like the stuff he’s producing for Evidence, Boldy, Conway, and Benny. I’m so tired of drumless beats y’all.

Well, spoiler alert. I was right about it being artsy and drumless. However, despite that, I think this sounds really vibrant and colorful. I was very surprised I actually liked this. It’s nothing like Bread or Lunch Meat. This EP really does sound how the cover art looks. Don’t expect any bangers like you heard on Tea in China or Lulu. But it’s still groovy.

I never heard Sideshow before but he held it down on the song with Boldy.
