That whole last paragraph is beautiful. Especially the bolded.I'm not saying I agree or disagree because it could go either way. But I will say to counter that point is, that would be saying Ali was stupid... he wouldnt be opening himself up like that. We are talking about two of the greatest in their prime. Saying Ali just took punches would be like saying Tyson would tap out after a few rounds, both are not really true completely. I think Ali would fight like a straight up bytch for a long timeI'm not even going to lie... he would do whatever he could to delay the fight and run the clock down... he may even take a knee and a long count just to escape the first few rounds.
I know what I'm saying is obviously crazy because tyson could hurt you any way regardless.... but people posted examples of Mike struggling and his weakness is known against lesser boxers. I'm not saying Mike couldnt win but it would be easier for a Legend in his prime to gameplan vs Mike than against Ali... Similar to how Floyd knows how to box and score points. It would be really hard because he's defensive and counter punching, to score points and beat him in an all out match..... Tyson would HAVE to K.O Ali and it would have to happen very early. That would be the only shot he has at winning. Mike would have to literally say fukk it and go into Alexander the Great mode and try to kill Ali for it to work. I think if Ali didnt bullshyt too much, a nice body shot could take him out. They would have to stop the fight. But there's many ways Ali can win and only 1 for Tyson.
Tyson in 5. Prime Tyson was quicker and had better defense

Ali was 10X better than Tillis
.
So you think Ali had better defense than Tyson?

:nahsus:Ali's rare combination of size, length and speed would be too much for Tyson.
Wilder has a better chin than Tyson, and punching power is about equal
Tyson avoided people with a longer reach with punching power. He's susceptible who guys who have a good long jab as well. Which is why he avoided Lennox Lewis in his prime and Riddikk Bowe
So you going to act like Ali didn't eat Foreman body shots round after round. Yes some caught elbows but a lot landed clean and that's with Foreman being able to load up on them too. Ali ate body shots from plenty of opponents with great power. Ali took clean shots to the head from Ernie Shavers who many have as the strongest heavyweight puncher ever. You bugging thinking anybody would fold Ali up.Exactly. Tyson wouldve just lit his ribs up and then took his head off as he did millions of times to other boxers but I’ll let people have their fantasies![]()

Tyson regularly outjabbed taller fighters with longer reach...where you are basing this off from? The buster fight?
Based on what?I don't know why this fight is a barometer. Tyson didn't knock him out, but he won the fight easily and was never hurt in the slightest or ever in any danger.
All this proves is prime Tyson had good stamina to go 12 as well if he couldn't get the ko
Nobody ever knocked Ali out, and Ali ain't strong enough to hurt Mike, so a decision is the only outcome I see for this fight. Toss up![]()
Ali was susceptible to the left hook and had major issues with Frazier.
Tyson was a bigger, faster, stronger and more explosive version. Tyson gets Ali out of there by stoppage.
This is lost in translation if you will because of his sheer brutalityTyson. A lot of you guys discounting intellect cause outside of he’s a savage.
Mike was very technical with his boxing and highly skilled.
Had they fought 10 times Foreman would've won the other nine. But that's a hyperthetical thought.Joe Frazier could lay damn near anyone out and Foreman literally bounced Frazier off the canvas. Old Ali beat prime Foreman.
