No Father To MY Style.. A Son Unique
i am not a sir.

secondly i didn't dismiss what her daughter said. however, i did say that alice and her ideology are wrong and that she is crazy AF. just because you are credited with pioneering something doesn't mean you are right in your beliefs. what alice did in the name of "feminism" is wrong
well miss obviously im not talking about every woman in the world. they should be free to go out in the world like men n do what they want. But nature is nature... these are built in rules of life. Nuts like this woman go round cawing like hens giving feminism a bad name because often times the nuts are the loudest and thus most noticed. if she is the head of this movement and she cant even take care of her own family (which she disowned her daughter cause she was TIRED of beinga MOTHER).. then the whole movement is suspect.

im sure its not written in the feminist handbook that its ok to disown ya own daughter so you can break the mom shackles put on you by society. yes that must be what being a REAL woman is like,

next feminists will tell women to abandon their children like bytch ASS men do because life isnt fair

She also explained how her mother’s feminist beliefs created serious complications that ultimately led to the demise of their relationship.

How are you gonna tell her about her own mother's ideology and being raised within it? Are you victim blaming™ or gaslighting™ this woman?
Sounds very Toxic™:martin:

Let me repeat myself...

This isn't feminism. This bych is just nasty and crazy.

She can believe the sky is green and grass orange. And just because she believes that doesn't make it true or align with any actual ideology.

“My mother’s feminist principles [colored] every aspect of my life. As a little girl, I wasn’t even allowed to play with dolls or stuffed toys in case they brought out a maternal instinct. It was drummed into me that being a mother, raising children and running a home were a form of slavery. Having a career, traveling the world and being independent were what really mattered according to her...."

Not playing with dolls / not raising your kids etc isn't feminism. .... her mom is just a nut using feminism as a cover.

Reminds me of my cousin who is a hoarder talking about everybody else doesn't know have to save things and reuse them and we're not fiscally responsible. Fiscal responsibility is a real thing. But she's just a damn crazy azz dirty hoarder.

In conclusion, :camby:

What are your feelings in regards to the topic at hand?
How do you feel about Alice Walker's ideology, her status as a pioneer of said ideology, and her gross neglectful abuse of a developing child?
:to:

Alice seems to be a lesbian, she probably should not have married a man or had a child. Unfortunate that the child was abused, but men are praised when they put their families on the back burner in pursuit of their own goals. Teenager was left at home and felt emotionally neglected:to: but out of that Alice won the freaking Pulitzer:ld:

And yes I love Alice Walker, I read the color purple the 1st time when I was like 11

So, does this require a reexamination of Alice Walker's cultural/ideological contributions? What about her terminology? Shouldn't people stop using it and reject her ideas...since they come from such a TOXIC place?
Would you grow fruit on polluted soil to nourish your children?

I don't believe Alice Walker was covering anything with anything, I believe her DAUGHTER disagrees with her ideology and sees how her ideology influenced some of her toxic decision making to the point of neglect.

If men are praised when they "put their families on the back burner"
why does the concept of Deadbeat Dads exist? Where are men being praised en masse for doing such? Could you point out examples other than working a lot of hours...therefore contributing finances to a household, and sacrificing personal time?
What do men have to do with a Feminist Pioneer named Alice Walker abusing her only daughter? Doesn't this situation only involve two women?
What role did black men play in The Color Purple?
With that in mind...
What role do black men play in the neglect of Alice Walker's daughter with a white man?

.
Her warped mind and approach have nothing to do with feminism and everything to do with her being a fukked up, resentful individual.

Ain't shyt mother!
Let's elaborate on her ain't shyt motherhood. What was the motivation behind it?
What can we do about ain't shyt mothers and why haven't ain't shyt mothers been given the collective spotlight or energy...a certain group of "allegedly" ain't shyt individuals get?
Can we speak on it?
