First off you coming at me like I make threads about men not being fathers.

I've been saying for YEARS, prior before I knew this site existed how a lot of women just ain't shyt when it comes to there kids. :yeshrug:

I can't do shyt about two grown people fukkin and not taking care their seeds. I can say till I'm blue in the face wrap it up, birth control, whatever.

I'm just tired of these hoes in general making these fukkin kids and not giving a fukk about them/ treating them like shyt.

Anything else?
aw naw you good. Just opening up a little bit of RARELY FOCUSED UPON dialogue so other people can see it and think.

This post isn't about the definition of feminism, it's about an abusive woman who pioneered it. Her status as a leader of that movement isn't in question and won't be.
We have the internet at our disposal. She's the KOOL HERC of black feminism. May not have invented it, but she's sure given credit for WOMANISM...aka the 3rd wave blueprint. :mjpls:
Gloria Steinem is also a feminist. Her dealings with the CIA are for another post and time. :sas2:
as well as her zionist background, which is where the majority of these trash ass white supremacist ideologies come from

:why:
Men really believe this
:snoop:
Say it with me " women are human beings with their own thoughts, goals, and dreams. Women are human beings."
You do realize that, right?
how does any of that, address anything about what he said?

is strawmanning a tactic taught in the "white supremacist school of unbeneficial political ideologies for nonwhites,"?

criticizing Alice walkers feminist ideology is not diminishing or questioning rebecca's experience. it would be stupid to do so.

what people are saying is that all the stuff alice did to her daughter under the guise of being a feminist is wrong and doesn't even follow the basic ideology of what feminism is supposed to be about. it doesn't matter if she has a ton of followers, it doesn't matter if she was is considered a pioneer for women's rights. the logic she used to raise abuse her daughter is flawed. if you are crazy AF, you are crazy AF. no sane person would agree that what alice did was right or decent. abusers come in all shapes and have all sorts of professional titles. just because she is considered "alice walker, the "great author", "woman's activist", or whatever title she has now, does not mean that her brand of feminist ideology is correct. what she did was harsh, callous, and an embarrassment to her name.
I'm glad you agree. Shouldn't this type of behavior be examined more? It's not rare and the perpetrators seem to have more than gender in common. Why aren't these cases of people sharing ideology and gender...connected and studied? Why isn't a word being coined to describe Alice Walker and toxic individuals who engage in said behavior...and share the same beliefs? Alice Walker still gets the same support and the same energy she always did. That's "problematic" right?

If men are praised when they "put their families on the back burner"
why does the concept of Deadbeat Dads exist? Where are men being praised en masse for doing such? Could you point out examples other than working a lot of hours...therefore contributing finances to a household, and sacrificing personal time?
What do men have to do with a Feminist Pioneer named Alice Walker abusing her only daughter? Doesn't this situation only involve two women?
What role did black men play in The Color Purple?
With that in mind...
What role do black men play in the neglect of Alice Walker's daughter with a white man?
these bytches live in lala land where they can't even decipher the basic differences between "man" i.e. white men, and black men.

do we know for a fact this type of ideology is not being challenged or studied? feminist ideology, just like other forms of sociology and religion is not a one leader fits all situation. there are a wide variety of studies and teachers that do not subscribe to the alice walker method of parenting and dating, or whatever else she has going on. she is not the leader of women. a lot of people love her, some just indifferent towards her.

as for shared ideology and gender as it relates to abusive behavior-i think people are getting tripped up over what alice walker does for a living and her brand (brand as in alice walker your neighbor vs. the famous author alice walker). remove those components she is just another woman who was unfit to parent. there are thousands of aint sh*t parents famous, non famous, rich, poor, middle class, etc.

In more succint terms

Feminist are quick to define and pathologize behaviors they find undesireable in men: "Toxic masuclinity" "rape culture" "slut shaming" "misogyny" "mansplain" "manspread"

and yet when undesirable female behavior is identified (without even making it as far as pathology"

"Not all feminists..." "well thats not what it's really about, it started as...." "[insert homer simpson disappearing into bushes gif]"

So when it's men it's all men, when it's women we talk about individuality

The blatant hypocrisy is why, intellectually I can't respect modern feminism as anything more than a delusional reframe on reality at worst, softcore social welfare/self esteem builder at best. Most of the social theory stemming from it including patriarchy and gender being a social construct are false but are unchallenged by polite society.

A good bit of modern feminism comes from two mentally ill manhating women they "you go sis"d instead of getting them help.

When they say "most feminists don't do this" it sounds like some Taqiyya. Some of these women don't know their own movement
