Obviously because Grande's singing is reminiscing of Alicia Keys early dayswho cares about Alicia Keys in 2013? She been forgettable for awhile, especially as she gets more white washed...
Grande can sing brehs. I'd never buy her album because I'm a rugged nikka, but let's just say she got some songs I don't change the dial on when they come on the radio...
Nah. She reminds me of Mariah Carey and other older singers than Keys.Obviously because Grande's singing is reminiscing of Alicia Keys early days
which is the whole reason to the title of this thread in the first place....
The girl can blow yes but I disagree about Mariah, she aint hiting those notes.. her voice sounds a little too soulful if you know what I meanNah. She reminds me of Mariah Carey and other older singers than Keys.
I was shocked when I heard her sing, you rarely hear "new" artists with that type of vocal range. Usually it's weak Rihanna type vocals.
This Ariana whore is trash, and she looks 13. I'm counting her 10 minutes.
how dare you insult the goddessWe need a new jon b. Goat white boyGo look at the production and writing credits for Ariana Grande's album its Babyface and a slew of black writers and producers. These record labels are putting the money for production and writing behind white artists that sing RnB/Soul. There has always been white artists that did RnB/Soul since the Michael McDonald and the Doobie Brothers, but they were never at the forefront of the genre. Ariana is not the problem. The two influences are the record labels who prefer to push white RnB artist over talented black artists with equal or greater talent in the genre and the white buying public who now prefers to buy RnB/Soul from white artists. This turn happened post Usher Confessions. The labels are the ones that really how the power to promote and invest in these artist when its all said and done.
