That ending was completely unearned. They were so busy trying to sell these mfs as adulf children that they forgot to slowly turn them into the murder bots they are now.

Why the fukk with he called the boy genius? We've seen him do nothing worthy of that title.

Pointless white-haired robot. Sabotaged his own ppl for no reason and got washed in a fight.

And they cock teased us with the eye.

If they had any balls, most of the cast would've died.... leaving Morrow, the Eye and Wendy bot and the xenocrew. The Eye should have it's own spin off. Cowards.

Who would’ve thought in 1991 after the releases of alien, t1, aliens, predator, and t2…predicting 30+ years into the future…that in 2025 Predator would be the franchise of those 3 standing with the freshest ideas and the most promise?

edit: Obviously not counting AVP movies. I'm talking stuff from the past 5-10 years. Predator is in the best position right now.
Weyland yutani thanks you for supporting this feature and can't wait for you to see Predator Badlands in October

The show has potential but it suffered from too many (half baked) ideas.

Just with Wendy it's like: "what if she was a synth, but with a child's mind, AND can talk to aliens AND can control all computers!? Oh did I mention she's named after a Peter Pan character and... and ... and..."

Just the politics of the world being ran by 5 corporations would've been interesting enough to dive deeper. But we didn't get much. The writer needed an editor.

Yeah, the finale didn't play out as I expected. There were some interesting horror elements like Nibbs dropping down on Dame Silvia and I liked the cyborg/synth fight, but overall it leaned too much on setting up a S2 (which I hope happens still) without much emotional payoff.

Wendy really became OP :skip:, and the Delores Westworld comps are strong. Especially what she did to Adam. I get she's still figuring out what exactly she is, but awfully cavalier about her pet alien killing a bunch of soldiers.

Curly kinda got short shrift, went from wanting to be the favorite and learning French to "I am Jane" quick :lolbron:

Boy Genius wasn't smart enough to know he should have dipped sooner :francis:

The setup of Waytani coming to the island, while the hybrid kids run amok is somewhat interesting. Can at least provide some interesting action or kills.

my face after watching that finale:

This started off strong as hell but these last 2-3 episodes brought it down a lot. Finale was horrible, last 2ish episodes felt so messy. Morrow/Kirsch fight was cool but I expected more. Felt rushed, especially with how it got there with Morrow just rushing into the compound. Wendy being this powerful is dumb as hell. I liked the Boy reveal of him killing his dad/Atom being his creation/Dad. Was actually looking forward to Wendy fighting Atom and then they pull this shyt? Lame! Curly vs Wendy and Curly joining them was handled in a lame way. Eyebally gets into a dead corpse, lame.

If there is a season 2(I wouldnt renew it) I'll probably dip out. I think Noah will take the show more into action and that's not what I started watching it for. I'm sure Morrow and Kirsch will have to put their differences aside and work with the kids to overcome something. Something probably happens to where Wendy temporarily loses her powers to fill time.

Nitpick, but show forced me to with the way they set up Morrow vs Kirsch :hubie: .
1. Morrow is a regular human with a cyborg arm. He is not pose to be able to pick up a regular human with one arm, let alone a synth. Cool scene but other arm shouldve been the main one to flip Kirsch.

2. I dont think this move should work. On a regular human, moves like this work because the pain forces the grabber to let go. Kirsch is a full machine, he doesnt feel pain and shouldve kept the hold tight.

At best, at best...this felt like an episode that should happen right before the season finale.

So many unresolved arcs, narrative drops, unanswered questions, and stupid decisions.

As far as season finales go? That might be one of the weakest ones I've ever seen. It wasn't like "so bad it's good" bad, either. Dexter and some other shows have had hilariously bad season finales that were fun to watch.
Only House of the Dragon S2's finale has been worse for me in recent memory.

Pointless white-haired robot. Sabotaged his own ppl for no reason and got washed in a fight.
You mean Kirsch? The kids arent "his own ppl", that's laid out early by Kirsch.

They fumbled the potential so fukking hard. Show felt like it was trying to be two different shows. Shouldve stuff to the sci fi shyt and left the action pieces and shyt on the cutting room floor.

AKA just another word for "magic"

Them saying she's magical (or, my bad, "special") doesn't make it any less goofy that she is. It's lazy and uninteresting writing. It also is so non-compelling because I'm never going to buy that she's ever in any danger because she controls the aliens as her pets and she controls everything else on the island too. It deflates so much tension that you want in a thriller/sci-fi/horror show.

I was always afraid for Ripley, and even the girl in the new Romulus film. I'll never feel afraid for Wendy. She's too overpowered.

Yep the only way this works for me moving forwards is if Wendy and the Lost Boys are the actual villains of the show which I guess they are kind of implying with the “We rule” line….

The issue then is who is the actual hero, which I hope is not Hermit and he’s one of, if not the worst character on the show alongside Arthur - I’ve been wanting them gone since ep 4. I was almost sick with amount of bytch-made energy that was on the screen when Arthur and Hermit were plotting the escape of Wendy :hhh:

At least Arthur can redeem himself though now that Eyebally has hacked his brain lol

Episode 8 felt rushed. They tried to fit too much into one episode.

Boy genius should have had a fail safe against the hybrids instead of just fukking around in the compound. This would have been a good Wendy vs Curly episode.

The eyeball monster scenes were cool. I wonder if it can gain knowledge from a dead host.

What happened to the tick monsters they gotta still be out there somewhere:patrice:

What happened to the face hugger that got loose during Morrow and Kirsch's fight scene? :damn:

Kirsch's is a synth, I don't think getting put through a table should have broken his back unless it was something like this :childplease:

Yeah this just became an epilogue to episode 7.

Just moving pieces around or off the board(no soldiers or spare researchers) so we have a deserted island for season 2.

im not mad at what they did but that’s a lame way to do a finale. Should have just been an oversized 1:10 minute episode 7.

I been fighting the hate for this show all season...

But I gotta say.. they didn't stick the landing.

Yall know that meme where they got the horse drawn and it progressively gets worse.. thats episode 8.. it wasnt terrible.. Definitely could have been better ..

It felt like you expected your team to destroy the opponent 48 -7.. and you ended up winning 9-6
