my face after watching that finale:
This started off strong as hell but these last 2-3 episodes brought it down a lot. Finale was horrible, last 2ish episodes felt so messy. Morrow/Kirsch fight was cool but I expected more. Felt rushed, especially with how it got there with Morrow just rushing into the compound. Wendy being this powerful is dumb as hell. I liked the Boy reveal of him killing his dad/Atom being his creation/Dad. Was actually looking forward to Wendy fighting Atom and then they pull this shyt? Lame! Curly vs Wendy and Curly joining them was handled in a lame way. Eyebally gets into a dead corpse, lame.
If there is a season 2(I wouldnt renew it) I'll probably dip out. I think Noah will take the show more into action and that's not what I started watching it for. I'm sure Morrow and Kirsch will have to put their differences aside and work with the kids to overcome something. Something probably happens to where Wendy temporarily loses her powers to fill time.
Nitpick, but show forced me to with the way they set up Morrow vs Kirsch

.
1. Morrow is a regular human with a cyborg arm. He is not pose to be able to pick up a regular human with one arm, let alone a synth. Cool scene but other arm shouldve been the main one to flip Kirsch.
2. I dont think this move should work. On a regular human, moves like this work because the pain forces the grabber to let go. Kirsch is a full machine, he doesnt feel pain and shouldve kept the hold tight.
At best, at best...this felt like an episode that should happen right before the season finale.
So many unresolved arcs, narrative drops, unanswered questions, and stupid decisions.
As far as season finales go? That might be one of the weakest ones I've ever seen. It wasn't like "so bad it's good" bad, either. Dexter and some other shows have had hilariously bad season finales that were fun to watch.
Only House of the Dragon S2's finale has been worse for me in recent memory.
Pointless white-haired robot. Sabotaged his own ppl for no reason and got washed in a fight.
You mean Kirsch? The kids arent "his own ppl", that's laid out early by Kirsch.
The show has potential but it suffered from too many (half baked) ideas.
Just with Wendy it's like: "what if she was a synth, but with a child's mind, AND can talk to aliens AND can control all computers!? Oh did I mention she's named after a Peter Pan character and... and ... and..."
Just the politics of the world being ran by 5 corporations would've been interesting enough to dive deeper. But we didn't get much. The writer needed an editor.
They fumbled the potential so fukking hard. Show felt like it was trying to be two different shows. Shouldve stuff to the sci fi shyt and left the action pieces and shyt on the cutting room floor.
