I still feel like the Xenos should have went against Wendy, released the eggs and let the facehuggers loose instead of killing everyone. I always thought they had a purpose of colonizing not just mindless killing. I don't know how shyt works now:yeshrug:
This bolded is a huge factor that I haven't seen discussed much on here yet. They just turned the Xeno into a bulletproof velociraptor basically. The aliens build nests, and try to spread. There's lore where they need a queen, and there's lore where they don't. Either way, having them just mindlessly butcher everyone doesn't really match up with their lore. Also, having them need to feel fear or whatever in order to attack? That felt weird as well.

Low key I kind of hope so too, because I'm more annoyed about it today. Feels like the showrunner and the writers went out of their way to just move everything to season 2 and didn't attempt to deliver a satisfying season 1. I feel like they shouldn't get rewarded for dragging people along for nothing.

.
That's the MO of all these shows now. Stretch everything as much as possible, especially if it's a popular franchise

I predicted nikkas saying "ending felt rushed" because that's become a common complaint with all of these underwhelming, empty feeling endings lately. You have these narrative situations that appear to be leading to solid conclusions, then the final episode arrives and everything feels engineered to be unresolved

Sort of like Kavalier being in the jaws of death multiple times only to end up in this goofy ass scenario:mjlol:

It's crazy that the finale felt rushed when a lot of the season simultaneously felt slow.

Also it was crazy how many people were just watchign screens and casually sipping on drinks, and casually doing other things while there was a Xeno on the loose

Thinking about it more, why the hell would Morrow seek out Kirsh over Boy? Since the start of the series it's been his main objective to kill Boy(after securing specimens). They said it like 3x, Morrow wants to kill Boy. I guess maybe you could argue he was going to the lab to secure specimens and then find boy, but that is shaky too.

I just binged 3 Body Problem on Netflix again today and Nibs was in the cold open of episode 8. She looked way older in that than on Alien Earth. I guess it’s the short haircut on here that makes her look like a 15 year old.

House of the Dragon had a writers strike issue, I dont know how many times I got to say that
Not including Daeron the Daring and Nettles and having Rhaenarya sneak into Kings Landing and completely butchering the story with Blood and Cheese was not a writers strike issue. GRRM is a tv writer and he came out and shytted on the show runners and he didn’t shyt on Dave and Dan after season 8.

So I call bullshyt on your premise

He told Kirsh in the elevator scene that he would see him soon. They had gang shyt to settle with the whole cyborg vs synth beef.

Also it makes sense to go after their most dangerous person first. I don’t think he knew there was another snyth on the team.

Plus like you said the specimens were the mission.

I dont think HotD is a good example. There's more story to that, it's an adaptation, there was always going to be a S3. The writer/creative were told they had 10 episodes, so everything was planned/written with 10 eps in mind. They completed writing all 10 episodes. It wasnt til it was too late(maybe a month or less before shooting the show) that WBD said budget was being cut and they only getting 8 episodes. That's why shyt was rushed leaving shyt unresolved and the big battle not happening, just ppl heading to the big battle.

With this Noah just wrote a shytty ending thinking it was guranteed to get picked up for S2 for some reason. Like someone said earlier, he had too many ideas and didnt know how to execute any of them.
Game of Thrones told all of Game of Thrones, Clash of Kings, and half of Storm of Swords in 3 seasons.

House of Dragon has so far told half of Fire and Blood a much thinner less narratively dense book.

They are stretching it and it shows in the quality.

:dahell:
You’re happy with it being dragged out multiple seasons?! Because that’s why the story is the way that it is.
No but your idea that the show would've been perfect otherwise is :mjlol:

Even if this ended with this one season the flaws are still there

Daeron wasn't casted yet, they mentioned him.

Nettles is .........*redacted* yall not about to send me to the bushes. Get ya boy @Rekkapryde

Showrunners said using the kids as the centerpiece to the Blood and Cheese story doesn't translate well to TV

The story would have been written differently if there was no need for continuity. I’m expecting show runners to mention re-writes in the next few months when they talk about making season 1.

Dance about half, if not a third of Fire and Blood, part 1. But it's the densest part of the book.
