I don’t have any real gripes or complaints, and realize TheColi is filled with people who like to complain.

I didn’t think too hatd on the show. It was entertaining/interesting and had Aliens in it. I’m just glad they are doing more with the franchise/universe as well as the Predator universe.

I feel as if shows are better for expanding this. Unfortunately, it is under Disney umbrella and thats my only real complaint. (If Disney is Hulu/FX and etc.)


Took it for what it was.. an entertaining distraction to real life

I would say I enjoyed it overall...just not the last 2 episodes

I haven't read all the posts, but I've seen people complaining that T Ocellus took over a dead body.
We've actually SEEN it do this before....when we first saw it, it was piloting HALF of a dead cat.

I’m almost certain the eyeball kills it’s host before taking it over anyway


How tf do people think those creatures are supposed to live with a giant hole and foreign body lodged into it’s head.

So I don’t even care that it took over an already dead body, it just controls the host. I think it just keeps the brain functioning enough to control the body. Doesn’t need shyt else

It ain't just The Coli. The first few episodes were rated very well, but that last few have pretty much getting panned everywhere.

I think two things are true at the same time. Yes, people do overcomplicate entertainment sometimes. But also...people are starved for shows that aren't just mindless fukking entertainment to do nothing but kill time. And a lot of people really want some shows out there that are intelligent and at least follow their own rules and logic that they establish, and to not just throw shyt at the wall. It's not like these shows don't exist or can't exist. It's not unreasonable for people to expect to have actual thoughtful entertainment that is deep.

It's frustrating when people just go, "Oh, it's just a dumb TV show, why would you expect it to not be stupid." I don't even want it to be complicated. I just want it to make sense. This show feels like it was written by a dozen different people.

And I'm not saying the Alien franchise is the deepest thing in the world. It isn't. But the first two films were made with incredible care, attention to detail, unique world building, and they were expertly crafted. Even though the franchise has had a lot of duds, it's not crazy for fans to hope for a high standard of quality.

Yes, I think 2 things are true in this context.

Idk.. I’m just more excited that they are finally doing shyt with the Alien/Predator franchises that isn’t a complete fukkup.

Television studios are about their bottomlines though, and writers these days seem to be focused on agendas than the quality of their products but I’ve sat through a lot of shakey, sketchy first seasons of sci-fi shows and then gone on to enjoy the seriess.

Foundation was one. The Expanse was another. Invasion, etc.


Like I said, this didn’t piss me off like the show “From” and LoveCraft Country or something, and in Sci-fi, I’ll take that as a win

Xenomorphs I thought were actually kind of see through. Like you can actually see their skulls in certain lights and angles.

They have facial structures similar to the one in Alien 4, (edit) just under that big ass dome thats kinda transparent to them and see through.

So I thought that was comic/lore accurate


I actually went through a youtube rabbit hole of this and Predator one weekend, where they went through all kinds of lore, different types of Xenomorphs (different hosts created different versions, some even highly intelligent) and etc.

I guess thats why I was more interested in just watching instead of critiquing. I think some of the things people will complain about are actually closely related to some other materials that came out in the past.

Like Xenomorphs actually have a natural enemy and it’s not the Predators. Most people wouldn’t know that.

Xenomorphs are actually worshipped by the Engineers, Engineers are strong af and can whip most Predators in a 1v1, Xenomorphs have natural enemies (which I was hoping this show or any movie/show touches on at some point), etc.

I quit The Boys season 4 mid season. I still don't know how that shyt ended Boba Fett was so trash I ain't watched anything Star Wars since Stopped watching the Bear after a nothing ass 3rd season

Like Prometheus (or Covenant, I forget) was confusing as fukk to people because they gutted most of the original story because of how it would’ve affected Evangelistic Christians and creation theory/Religion.


Basically, humans were created by Engineers who seeded multiple planets and the Engineers worshiped an Alpha Xenomorph. The Engineer actually had a long ass monologue in the original Prometheus movie that they scrapped where dude was basically snapping on humans.

They cut it because imo, there’s probably some truth to it IRL.

They keep changing shyt so it confuses the audiences and turns off the casual viewer because shyt would make zero sense UNLESS they told the original stories. I was hoping this show and Romulus would stop that trend


So imo, It started off well and fizzed out in the end but it’s probably more studio politics that caused it. I will give it one more season (if there even is another) but I usually give a series 2 seasons before I completely bush it or not. The first seasons on most shows are usually up and down.
