Meniscus isn’t an acl that’s not a out for the season injury

That’s 4-8 weeks :dahell:
It’s 4-8 weeks if you remove the meniscus. It’s 8 months if you reattach and rehab it.

That being said no player who is in college or doesn’t have a second NBA contract should get it torn off. D-wade talked about how it was his worst decision.

Depends on the severity and if you choose to repair or remove

Since it’s July probably not out for the season but could be a good chunk of it

Aint no way in hell they gonna remove a 17 year old kids meniscus

Thats career suicide.

They‘ll let it heal which means he’s looking at 8-12 months..

he doesn't need to come out freshman year. the 2027 draft is said to be super weak too according to givony

He genuinely could go second overall in that 27 draft. He would be fighting for the back half of the top 10 in this draft imo.

It's not an ACL, MCL heals on its own without surgery and be just like it was before.

HOWEVER

He needs to rehab intelligently and not try to rush back, then it becomes dodgy.
Meniscus and MCL aren't the same, a meniscus repair(versus a shave/snip) requires surgery and a longer rehab
