Listen to "Urban Flora" EP....Her new music isn't bad at all but it's not the same
The color of you was just as good, if you’re only looking for the galamatias sound, well that’s one thing, but she did one project with him, people act like she’s Alicia keys when she dumped crucial, there wasn’t years worth of projects behind them. He’s actually the one who fell off, his output has been pretty low since that project

As for this album, it’s not as good as either of her other two projects. Takes about 5 songs to pick up and there’s some real snooze tracks on here, it’s like she went and created a Sabrina Claudio album, Alina usually has a bit more groove. There are some dope tracks on here for sure, but can’t say I LOVE this one

That's what I'm saying. shyt was an EP with like 5 or 6 songs. Like calm down. Mind you those songs could've been on this album and it would've still flowed well.

Definitely disagree with your second paragraph. But the only negative Nancy's about this album are on thecoli which comes to no surprise. It's the same story on message boards. When new shyt comes out everyone shyts on it and says it's not as good as the old stuff.. then years later people call the new shyt (which is now old) a classic and how they miss that sound... People man...

Lol @ negative Nancy. I’m one of the biggest Alina fans on this board, it’s a critique. you clearly love this sound as evidenced by your posts about Sabrina. Alina has usually dropped music that’s for more than playing in the background as you lay in bed after fukking, this album definitely ain’t her best.

Alina's shyt got more of a vibe...Sabrina's shyt is more sexy, lol. It all depends on the mood but you can't really go wrong either way. I pick Alina because Sabrina said that goofy shyt about black girls, she probably thought because she's not white it was okay, nah.

I can't ever just give up on Sabrina cause when she performs she be making fukk faces, I appreciate that, :russ:

She said what about black girls?

THIS!

I was gonna post that earlier. Gimme the Wheel is where the album really starts in my opinion.

I'm not even sure that the 1st 4 songs are "bad", they might actually be better if they were in a different order, but the first 4 songs start the album too slowly to me.

Album is an absolute classic! Her best work. Song with Nas didn't disappoint. Now I'm trying to decide whose music I like most between her and Sabrina Claudio lol

I think Sabrina has the lead on Alina but I actually prefer this album over Sabrina's last. Alina usually has a bit more energy in her music. The Color of You is fantastic, but Alina doesn't have an Unravel Me or a Creation, nor does she have features like Compromise or Why I Love You.

I would actually like to see Khalid and her make a project together.

I listened to Snoh's borderline classic before I listened to this album so it may have effected my first impression of this but;

I was looking forward to this and damn near fell asleep when I played it last night.
the album starts off so dull its hard not to feel like a let down.

the opener sounds awful.

the song with Smino was a welcome change of pace and the second half is stronger.
Nas delivered again on a R&B feature this year.

Brent got the best album so far this year. easy.

Yea, they’re not bad except the opening track, they just don’t pull you into the project. I skipped Morocco since it’s been out for a bit, so maybe that why the opening felt even more dead to me, but that intro track is weak, frank and endlessly are good songs, just not unique enough to really make you go :leon:. The Memo Blue through Take It Home are forgettable IMO. They’re the part of the album you just let play because they’re not offensive but they’re also tracks you don’t notice, run back or learn the words to.

I’d rather her other projects an A, this is a B to me, good, not great

Snoh is running laps all of these hoes.

Between her album & Kiana Lede, those were great albums by women.
