Yes Kobe was still in his prime at 2010. Are you gonna claim that prime Kobe won 0 rings?
You can't even read right, that graph shows physical performance at 34 being as good as performance at 25.
And considering that PP, Ray, and KG were never considered guys who relied on athleticism to excel, their actual playing prime doesn't have to line up with their physical prime anyway. In 2007 all three of those players were putting up numbers as good as ever.
31yo KG: 22-13-4 and elite defense
32yo Ray: 26-4-4
30yo Pierce: 25-6-4
ALL of those lines are obviously within their peak, their #'s didn't decline until they had to limit shots to defer to each other.
First off, claiming "no one thought Garnett, Pierce or Ray Allen could win a chip as top guy" is bullshyt. KG was MVP of the entire league in 2004 and was still putting up almost the same numbers in 2004. Pierce and Ray were both 25+ ppg scorers in 2007. And this is in an NBA where Chauncey Billups, 2nd-year Wade, and Tony Parker had been 3 of the last 4 Finals MVPs. Of COURSE any one of them could be a #1 option on a title team.
I mean fukking Reggie Miller and Jason Kidd were #1 options on Finals teams in the 2000s but now we're claiming Ray and Pierce couldn't be?
Pretending like Bron and Wade were the first legit #1 options to team up for a title is pure bullshyt, did you not even read the thread? Cousy and Russell, Wilt and Greer, Baylor and West, Wilt and West, Kareem and Big O, Magic and Kareem, Moses and Dr. J, MJ and Pippen, Drexler and Hakeem, Shaq and Kobe, Wade and Shaq, etc.....and those are just the obvious ones. You could argue that MOST title teams in NBA history had two different guys who could have led the team. So LBJ was supposed to just wait for that to happen and keep pairing with fukking Mo Williams until some White owner did the favor for him?
