Maybe because you criticized Booker for not winning the same with Ricky Rubio instead of Chris Paul and then ignoring when I brought up a similar question about Chris Paul. Booker was on the same 2nd seed that he was on, Suns would not be there if he was not on the team. You want to ignore that part/

It’s no different than what Lakers fans did last year when other people tried to make the argument of Davis over Lebron and versa for when it came to the topic of MVP.

Don’t sit here and be a hypocrite :mjlol:

Who were the 7 voters who thought Jimmy Butler deserved 1st-team All-NBA? :mindblown:

I damn near agree with the entire thing. Only real issue is that Tatum shoulda made 2nd-team and Butler should have been knocked off the 3rd-team as a result.

No way beal should be in over westbrook. Westbrook was the reason for their resurgence

rewarding shytty players on shytty teams is hilarious
curry should not be 1st team all nba over the #1 player on the best record team in the nba
neither should beal or even luka

I'm trying to imagine them leaving prime MJ off of 1st-team All-NBA in 1987 just cause his team sucked.

Or prime Kareem in 1976.

Or prime Big O in any of those years Cincy was terrible.

Book should've made third team and Little Mountain should've been on the 2nd team...CP0 had a really good season but he's NOT a top 15 player or a top 6 G
Booker & Trae should be on here.
No one is disagreeing Chris Paul is not a good player. By your logic, its like me asking if Chris Paul could have led the team to 2nd seed and WCF this year with Joe Harris in as his backcourt.

Booker was the best player vs the defending champs in the first round while Chris Paul had his yearly playoff injury. Replace him with Joe Harris and Chris Paul would be in Cancun right now.

There is only one side that pretends that one guy is the reason where they are and that is your side. This is the best roster Booker has had, CP3 or no CP3.
Y’all really weren’t watching Suns games this year :snoop:
5th in MVP voting but supposedly not a top-15 player, haters gonna stay mad. :blessed:

CP3 was on 95 ballots with 85 of them being 1st/2nd team. Booker was on 15 ballots and just 3 were 2nd-team. This was a fukking LANDSLIDE, virtually no one who follows the game thought Booker was better than CP3.

Nor does anyone in the Suns organization think Booker was more important to their success than CP3. :comeon:

Their offense literally looked lost as hell sometimes when Payne was the floor general. He's more of a spark plug and not the floor general/leader of CP3. I'll ask you this question since you seem to insist on using numbers to support your argument.

If everything is putting up numbers in the NBA, then how do you determine who is All NBA worthy? Dudes are in here complaining about who is a snub, but haven't come up with a better method of determining who is actually worthy of consideration or not.

I called this exact thread and debate months ago.

The guy you’re quoting is trying to discredit Chris Paul’s placement on a team based on regular season performance by using a playoff series. Argument should of ended by you just rolling your eyes and moving on.

The voting just doesn’t make sense to me logic wise. CP3s stats don’t jump off the page but he’s rewarded for leadership and team success while players like Donovan Mitchell and Booker are ignored for their roles on teams with top records even though they have big stats to go with it.

Randle gets in without the huge stats but leading a young team to a good record without any other stars yet Trae Young has huge stats and leads a young team to a good record with no other stats (to be fair more talent than the Knicks) but is largely ignored for some reason.

Players like Beal get voted in for stats but Zion, Westbrook, and Tatum get ignored in favor of Butler.

Then there is the whole issue with total number of games missed and how to account for that.

I really don’t know what the right choices are it just doesn’t seem there is too much narrative with some of the votes with no consistency.

More than anything I just hate it being tied to contracts. The league has so much talent now that some all-nba level quality seasons will get passed over and players miss out on big money due to random whims of voters.

On the plus side players on teams that miss out on qualifying for the super max should be excited their players didn’t make it. It’ll help with cap room for the next few seasons if the player resigns.

The NBA letting player contracts be decided (and ultimately tens of millions of dollars for certain guys) by media-voted awards….

Arguably worse than MLB allowing home field advantage to be decided by an All-Star Game where you’re rotating pitchers every other inning

I’d have Russ over Beal since the Wizards run was happening when Russ was going off, but other than that I don’t have any major problems with it even if I have some disagreements here and there.
The run happened when beal returned from injury I’m pretty sure

stop fckn over rating westbrook
