Melo did nothing better than Kobe this year, and when they do switch it up it's usually F\C they switch up. So if anything, it would be Duncan who would go off and you'd list LeBron as F\C since he played some C this year.

I mean, you're the one who asserted that Melo was so definitively better than Kobe that they should make the unprecedented decision of rolling with three SFs and only 1 true guard on the first team. You kind of have to justify that. :bryan:

So the Knicks made it to the 2nd round with a 2nd team all NBA player as their ace. What excuses do the SPurs, Heat, have, and Thunder for not winning. Those are the only teams with multiple bonified all stars.

:wtf:
Spurs and the defending champion, Heat are still playing and are actually on track to meet in the Finals and the Thunder were their last year and lost their second all-star in the first round. The Grizzlies made it to the CF with a 2nd teamer as their "ace". The Pacers also made it to the Conference Finals and actually beat the Knicks with a 3rd teamer as their "ace". See how things can get if we go down this road. :usure: What were you even trying to prove there? :dwillhuh:

Melo had a great year but he just happens to be playing forward which is currently home to the two best players in the L. It's like being a guard when you had Magic and Mike around. Clyde and KJ and Stockton etc. had some great years but they had nothing coming with Magic and Mike doing their thing. :manny: That's just the way it is sometimes.

I think you are confusing me with someone else in this thread, I never said "definitely". Both are very close, with Kobe having the clear edge on assists.

I just would have put Melo over Kobe this year based on what Carmelo was able to accomplish with dumbazz JR Smith as his second option. He was pretty much looked at as someone in the hunt for the MVP most of the year until LeBron went off and the heat went on that streak.
