Biggest takeaway is media awards should have no place in contract negotiations

I disagree. Im fine with all nba teams deciding how much you get paid, but they NEED to make everything from the voting process to the media members to the voting itself public. You can't be deciding over 60 million dollars for any given player and not be forced to show everything that goes into it not to mention you should be allowed to be criticized for your voting card if it just seems completely off.

I disagree. Im fine with all nba teams deciding how much you get paid, but they NEED to make everything from the voting process to the media members to the voting itself public. You can't be deciding over 60 million dollars for any given player and not be forced to show everything that goes into it not to mention you should be allowed to be criticized for your voting card if it just seems completely off.

Nah i cant cosign the media having an effect of peoples pockets like that. Their bosses shouls be the owners and the GMs. Period. Cause it starts boiling down to popularity and other bullshyt.

There needs to be accolades that matter in sports. It goes towards players legacy and everything. Secretive or out in the open I do not think the media has any right to actively effect the pockets of any player
Id rather GM or player voted accolades. Even if that ends up with bullshyt like harden winning the mvp, at least in within the fraternity
