I enjoyed the premier episode. 
Glad they seem to be moving towards action and fukkery this season over poorly executed attempts at being artsy and intellectual.
Gregory's the most underrated character on the show in my opinion.
His cowardly antics and all around scumbaggery are one of the highlights of the show for me so it's a shame he probably won't be around for much longer.

I don't even hate Gabriel at this point. He acted like a Christian, consistent.
rick and them could have easily killed negan when they first arrived at the sanctuary. so could father gabriel at the end. but they not gonna get rid of negan anytime soon nor will they kill him.
