How do Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger not have proper sequels? (seiken densetsu III was eh)

FF6 is my favorite.

But HOW THE fukk do the other two not have proper sequels?!!

What's sad is that I have so many to get through. I have the Witcher 3, Fallout New Vegas, Final Fantasy 9 and Ni No Kuni but I've yet to get to them. One day, month or year

I do gotta shout out all of these. These and Star Ocean 3 come right after FFX for me. Xenogears was long as fukk and had some great characters. For reason tho on that 2nd disc when Fei been in the rockin chair with that wall of text always had me rollin. I don't even know why, but I was dying when I first saw it.

Like people have already said all through this thread Final Fantasy, cant pick a definitive favourite because they all have High Points and Low Points (obviously the highs way outweigh the lows) so I'll just say 7 through to 10, just the nostalgia alone

As far as online rpg's I'm gonna say phantasy star online 2 just cos it was my first official online game, I'd never played with real Iife people through a headset before, I was blown away by the whole concept of it playing as a kid on my older bros original Xbox.

my only problem with star ocean 2 is the fact you can't recruit Dias unless you choose Rena at the start

but having Claude, Ashton and Dias sauced up at level 255 together in the bonus dungeon fukkin nikkas up with the bunny shoes on i had them boys damn near teleporting around the room choppin shyt down

there's not many bigger self ether moments than trying to go head up with Dias that first time at the tournament....the game don't give a fukk how much leveling and grinding you did, what kinda equipment you got...Dias finna fukk you over

Well it's on my second playthrough that I chose Rena and finally got him. I swore you could have at first using Claude but this was before Internet and magazines being readily available as they are now to hint you on that shyt. The inclusion of Dias on my second playthrough helped level the playing field with the last boss, 'cause on my first playthrough I must have taken like 3 consecutive nights just to finally wear him down into his final form, running around trying my best to heal just enough to keep my characters from dying, then the fukker started flying....

Dias cancelled all that shyt. His Special art skills....

But yeah, that was one of my first lessons in having a scripted outcome with an rpg that you could never surmount, That Dias fight. I'd train for hours, come back...same outcome. I'd prolly lengthen the match a few more turns, but you'd always get fukked over in the end. Good times.
