I was having this conversation the other day with a friend and I was stumped. I mean, no one can deny the power of Tha Carter I, II, and III, but how good were those in comparison to classics that earn rappers spots on DOA lists? Let's not forget his prolific mixtape run, or his endless classic guest verses either.

I agree Wayne is painfully overhyped by his stans. The type that think Dedication 4 "went hard."

But one hundred rappers better than him?

Stop with all the weezy hate. Yes, he's put out some garbage recently, but you can't deny that the man has skill. Even his trash tracks still have some replay value.

Honestly Top 25-30... Catalogue is kind of weak with maybe 1 arguable classic either C1 or C2 but his influence on the young generation of rappers is undeniable (Kendrick, Drake, Young Thug, etc.)... he has longevity relevant from 99-present with highs and lows...

No disrespect to Wayne, I actually like Wayne, as opposed to someone like Drake, who I don't FEEL nothing he's done. Wayne got some joints I like, Tie Your Hands, fukk Tha World, Fly Out intros and outros and others. But it's just there's a lot of great Hip Hop artists, he's cool though, but my criticism personally is I feel he is inconsistent, though he's talented.
