I work for a pretty large company, and because of laws, we wouldn’t hire a person that didn’t have papers, but I am aware of workarounds, like hiring on a temp company, and they could bring on illegals, but also take all the risks involved. When the guy in the video was talking about postitions that they would have to fill with citizens, and he said “electricians” lol look I understand in certain regions, they hire illegals, it’s whatever, if they can get away with it, that’s fine, but I couldn’t in a million years imagine being so brazen that you hire illegal immigrants to do union trade work. I understand the issue with lack of people wanting to work on farms but from my experience, construction is different. Black people can’t get on a construction job unless they’re a certified electrician, truck driver or management in a technical area like myself. They’re not hiring black people as laborers, carpenters etc and being a labor guy isn’t necessarily hard work depending on the job.

Companies also hire illegals not only so they can pay them under the table but it also reduces the likelihood of someone filling a workers comp claim or paying for work related injuries.

You get rid of cheap immigrant labor on job sites and y’all really bout to see how expensive housing can get. Owners ain’t gonna take an L they just gonna up the prices to pay Americans more.

They let 10s of thousands of Indians and Chinese into the country every year for IT jobs, if there is a demand for construction workers than create a path for them to get here legally and work. Illegal work is no comp cause no one wants those jobs plain and simple. Ain’t no one want to be a roofer or pick straw berries. Immigrants in skilled trades are still not a comp because the trades need bodies plain and simple. If brehs want to learn a trade in my area you can legit walk into a contractor and get a job within an hour.

Immigrants prob absorb a lot of tax dollars but getting rid of them would raise the cost of housing and food and entertainment so much I’m not sure the tax money we would save would off set that. My check is acceptable right now with illegal immigrants working in this country. If my cost of living hikes up any more I’m gonna be sick

The only point he has is that no USA citizen wants to do farmwork but illegals like him undercut the pay that would go to citizens who want to work in construction and have to get qualified to do so. I am all for stricter immigration laws that tamps down on the illegal workers in nonfarm work that undercut the pay of all US born workers.
