This is a deflection. A nationally popular Dem. can help increase/improve the turnout rate, which definitely impacts elections

For the record, if you look it up, VA has voted Blue in every presidential election since Barack ran/won in 2008.

The DNC chair, and the actual candidate running believes that Obama can help move the needle. But maybe, you understand thr VA political climate better than they do

The Obamas are popular and visible, and still hold a trenendous amount of influence across different demographic groups in 2025.
By looking at followers/subscribers across sm platforms, books, podcasts, etc this confirms the point I made earlier about him still being a tremendously popular in the mainstream. Which absolutely helps engage people who otherwise dont care about politics.
What candidate can you point to and say Obama is a big reason how they got elected? With the exception of Biden in 2020, NONE.

Florida: Obama won this state twice. In 2016, Trump won Florida. In 2018, Trump is largely the reason DeSantis got elected Governor over Gillum who Obama campaigned for.

Ohio: Trump is the main reason JD Vance (a no name dude who never held elected office) got elected Senator in 2022.

PA: Trump is the main reason Dave McCormick got elected Senator and beat the sitting Dem Senator in 2024 who had been a Senator for 18 years and was running for his 4th term.

Montana: Trump is the single reason a no name candidate that never ran for elected office before won the primary and beat the Democrat incumbent, who had been a Senator for 18 years and was running for his 4th term.

Michigan: Trump almost single handedly got Mike Rogers elected to the Senate. Only lost by 22,000 votes. Michigan is a blue state that Trump flipped twice. The Governor, Secretary of State, AG, US Senators are all elected Democrats.

There's also a shytload of members in the US House that were elected solely because of Trump.

If you want to credit Obama for Virginia turning blue in federal elections (which I don't credit Obama for) then credit Trump for turning Ohio and Florida permanently red. (Which, he should get credit for)

The only people that care about the Obamas are Democrats. And by the way, the Democrat party isn't even fully united behind Obama. The left and some Progressives don't even like Obama. Meanwhile, Trump has made the Republican party in his image and it's a cult of personality. Anyone who goes against Trump loses their seat or is forced to resign.

Winning an election in close states requires bringing along moderates and potentially getting members of the other party to make a switch. Obama has NO INFLUENCE WITH THESE TYPE OF PEOPLE ANYMORE.

The Democrat didn't need Obama's support for this Virginia Governor election. She's going to win easily because that black Republican lady is fukking crazy.

Obama still making them mad in 2025. Bruh can’t do much but talk right now… people feel how they feel about him now and I’m sure that won’t change much

An absolute fakkit comes into this thread and suggests Obama is irrelevant in our current political climate as he stands in front of thousands while being broadcast to millions.

Just wanted to recap for those joining the thread. :coffee:

Clearly you didn't read any of my other posts. Just took the initial post and ran with it.

Is he still popular with Democrats? Yes

Do they still fill arenas to see him? Yes

Does he have any influence over the outcomes of elections when he campaigns for candidates? No.

Do people outside the Democrat party care what Obama has to say? No.

Therefore he is no longer relevant.

how often do you shyttalk those you deem important?

like i said, they did not come at latinos the way they did us.

I shyt on black men consistently on thecoli. Unfortunately we are very resistent to being uplifted by way of scolding and accountability. I personally think Obama had good intentions. He doesnt seem like the rest of these coli liberals who view us as worthless if we arent voting for Democrats. He seems more like the type to actually look in the mirror and see what the Dems did wrong:respect:

Thread is already compromised. And we wonder how Trump got elected twice. Look at the distracted posts on here. Man was spitting truth and no one cares :laff:

Also :laff: at Obama losing to Trump in anything besides a lipid panel and diabetes
It's some old tender d*ck ass dudes in here. They're still pouting that Obama scolded them. Seeing how y'all are still crying he should make it a monthly occurrence lol
