Well they dnt but not in the way ur thinking

Most vets who have anything to say about that usually refer to white appropriation not so much the sound or the lack of overly complex lyricism etc etc. They speak moreso about the commercialization of the culture not the music itself...and real talk trap music is farther away from the image those vets complain about than the image rappers like kdot, drake asap, etc. represent

what image of kendrick?

lol a video of him performing a song touching on racism in front of a bunch of white... how terrible:stopitslime:
naaaww u dnt get what im referring to

The image that im referring to is the "safe negro"

u know..the mc that markets himself as a rebel when it comes to music but not so much when it comes to things that matter....cacs love that sht

What do u think Kdot biggest selling point is as a product? to be the voice of those who have a general rebellious attitude when it comes to "mainstream hip hop"

Same way they marketed Eminem

And Kdot does this only enough to make this trait believable but he wont really do anything outrageous or say anything too outrageous

He's pretty much almost the perfect balance

so tell me what should kendrick do? get on stage and yell "fukk crackers" so his fanbase will put a guard up and be like "what" and completely disregard him?

yes, because telling your oppressor "fukk crackers" is real effective to teaching them why they are oppressing you... no, they're going to get defensive and put up a guard.

fukkin asap mob were in their bet cypher on some black power shyt and people were clowning them :usure:

asap ferg has referenced Fard a few times in his music, in that song Lord, specifically

"Reincarnation of Master Fard
Elijah Muhammadreside in my heart
Diss and I'll blow, and shouts from Allah
Knowledge was born with science young lord"

yeah, that's real "safe"

that worked out real well....

all, im saying.. is as a white person, that aggressive "fukk crackers" approach isn't effective imo.. when a black man gets on stage and says some "fukk white america" "fukk crackers" shyt, your avg white person is automatically assume they're purely talking about the color of our skin and not our actions and thought process that oppresses an entire group of people and we're quick to put up some sort of defense instead of hearing them out...

i hope this doesn't come off as some sort of "be sympathetic to white people and their racism", but more so trying to explain why that isn't really effective, your avg white person already views blacks as aggressive and threatening so for a black man to get on stage and actually be aggressive militantly, they're just going to write him off as a racist and blaming whitey for all their problems and completely dismiss the issue instead of being sympathetic and take a step back and analyze themselves and the problem

all, im saying.. is as a white person, that aggressive "fukk crackers" approach isn't effective imo, most of our lives and thought process are heavily rooted in white supremacy, we grew up with it, our educational system, our media, our families passed it down..to the point your avg teenager or 20 something year old white person don't even know it is or recognizable it as some sort of problem, its the norm in white culture, so when a black man gets on stage and says some "fukk white america" "fukk crackers" shyt, we automatically assume they're purely talking about the color of our skin and not our actions and thought process that oppresses an entire group of people and we're quick to put up some sort of defense instead of hearing them out...

i hope this doesn't come off as some sort of "be sympathetic to white people and their racism", but more so trying to explain why that isn't really effective, your avg white person already views black as aggressive and threatening so to for a black man, so to one actually get on stage and actually be aggressive militantly, they're just going to write him off as a racist and blaming whitey for all their problems and completely dismiss them instead of being sympathetic and take a step back and analyze themselves

Black folks shouldn't care what white folks think. The music should have a message that comes from the real & what folks really want to say regardless of content as long as its dope. This is the main problem with the music...you not being an artist anymore...you aren't confident in who you are & what you are trying to do. The music wasn't meant to satisfy white people...it was meant for our brehs that living hard man :to: It helped us & soothed us

This is the essence...

I miss that in my rap. :to:
