I always found it funny SOHH basically made the same mistakes as AHH in it's fall off. I mostly lurked both forums ( AHH mainly cause they were a little wild in there and SOHH cause I ain't have the right type of email) but it's like they ain't really realize how powerful there forums were and leadership thinking people won't go anywhere else. AHH had to have taken over a year to get that forum back up. That's unexcusable honestly and tells me you may of not even wanted a forum connected to the site. I feel I heard at the time they were wanting to direct traffic to their articles for whatever reason (maybe trying to become more like an online XXL or The Source) and it bit them in the ass. Then SOHH falls into a similar trap by just flat out refusing to upgrade servers during the playoffs and basically daring popular posters to go do there own site. Well we know how that has worked out for them. It's like both sites ego and hubris got in the way of their own success.

shyt I remember the days when the IC was THE board over Boxden, KTT, and Hypebeast and neck and neck with . (side note: didnt you have to have a particular email domain to register with for awhile, or am I tripping?)

TBH the writing was on the wall for awhile with the IC. They never recovered from when the site got DOS'd from ***** and took like 3-4 months to come back. The lack of traffic is what brought me to Boxden...and their lame CACness brought me here


Bottom line, it really is the end of an era.

That Tupacfan nikka has been running with the same fukking anti 50 gimmick for over 10 years. After the IC went down he took to BX where and other nikkas was calling him out on the sae shyt im tellin you. That nikka might be legit retarded. To me though social media lacks certain things that message boards don't. It definitely can't recreate that Wild West feel of early-mid 00s message boards. Plus forums are a way better place for dialogue and intricate threads can be entertaining as fukk plus you can remain anonymous if you choose to. It's not nearly as narcissistic a platform as social media is, I mean who the fukk cares about what you ate or if you found some generic fake deep quote that makes you feel better? Sadly though most of the IC and sohh's best decided to go that route instead because of how much more basic and easy it was compared with forums and the quick notoriety you can gain from being on twitter or IG.

I'd say the posting game fell off mainly because of social media because instead of witty posting or even aliases you have super easy memes that any dummy can use to sound clever. Posting on a forum is an art when done right and I learned that on the IC and sigh respectively.

People too slow and don't got the attention span for a message board.
