I don't have my own business, but I work in finance and as a result have clients from a few different major companies. At any rate, I used to get invited to this party that this top financial PR firm used to hold every year at this steakhouse Quality Meats for their clients. I loved that party. Used to look forward to it every year. Had seafood tower, steak stands set up throughout, open bar, great appetizers. They stopped having it when Covid hit, and haven't had it since.
At any rate, last time I went, I ran into a former co-worker who was working at a different company but got an invite because she worked with them at her new place. So we stayed late, after a lot of people had left, and we're hanging out in this area with a couch talking and both pretty drunk by that point. She had gotten engaged a few months prior. She starts talking about how she always thought I was so cool, this and that, she's wearing a low cut top and was like oh it's not too low is it? I was like no, looks great. Basically flirting pretty hard. I wanted to try to take her home, but A. She was engaged and B. I have a girlfriend so I just left it alone. I still partially regret it.
