this is why when I see people "complain" about the PS4 or now, the PS4 Pro(without even having seen it in person on a 4K yet) I just smh.

Guys want consoles that outperform PCs but ignore the fact that nobody will buy a $400+ console in droves. For $400 the Pro is a good buy imo.

how old are you? when psone dropped it was amazing even compared to pc and amiga, when dreamcast dropped it was amazing, even when 360 dropped it was jaw dropping. do you not remember?

You are an adult child. Complaining when the market you are bringing up is refusing to pay what it costs anymore. The XBOX One was just hammered for releasing at $500, just like the PS3 got hammered for releasing at $600.

The reason consoles back then were neck and neck was because people were willing to pay a high amount of money at that time compared to what PC components cost. The PSONE is 20+ years old and retailed for $300...that market has only been willing to pay up to $400 for a unit in 2016/2017.

The PC market on the other hand...people are willing to pay $700 for a single graphics card. The market is completely different and you really need to stop looking at it in comparison to a PC or the way it was in 1996.

The more and more I read about the 4K and HDR, the less hyped I get for the overall concept of these new consoles. They're pushing 4K fidelity angle and we can barely get a consistent resolution on games with a steady framerate.

I just don't get the rush to put out these upgrades. Looking at Uncharted 4 and Forza, there's a lot of power still left in these consoles and were not even late in the console cycle where we see the biggest push from developers.

I actually never finished UC4. I'm gonna wait for my PS4 Pro to play it now. Might as well play it at the highest resolution and the best colors. I actually won by not beating it yet (shyt I barely played it)
