Am I missing out in Good Black Women because I dislike weaves?

Can’t stand weaves. Never had a problem dating black women with their own hair. And yes I’m aware other races of women wear “extensions”.

Also can’t stand tattoos and those nasty ass acrylic nails. Plenty of women who meet that criteria.

The only thing that has limited my dating pool in the past was avoiding those god fearing loons. If I break up with my current lady, it’s gonna be struggle.

I ended a 9 year relationship to a a very great woman a few months ago:mjcry:

We met after a girlfriend of mine passed away and she was going through a divorce. Shes older with me with two kids but i wanted kids of my own and at her age it wasn't wise(47).

So now I'm back out here on the dating scene

But man its a mess and im not going to get into that right now. Ive never been a fan of heavy make up and weaves but they are in abundance out here and on these apps. I've met a lot of women so far but only clicked with one so far...but im struggling getting pass the weaves and heavy make up...am I wrong?
You’re doing nothing wrong and there’s nothing wrong with your standards. You will find the right one eventually because you deserve it.

100% This needs to be talked about more, there are so many Black women that would be damn near perfect if they weren't so vehemently religious. It's a catch 22 because the type of 'girl next door' that I find easy to talk to and likable come from religious or socially 'conservative' backgrounds.

And that’s the thing, I’m not against religion. I was raised (like most of us) in a Christian household.

But just like there are non observant Jews, there are Christians like me who are similar. I’ll still christen my children, celebrate Christmas etc but so many black women treat it like a job, it’s a complete turn off.

I appreciate the emotional support and structure the church provides, but most black men are not going to dedicate their spare time to it to the degree that women do. And that’s where the disconnect is.

Yeah but natural hair is so much more attractive:manny:

When I imagine myself married with kids I never see my wife wearing extensions or weave. I'm not against it I just wish it wasn't so normalized.
Let’s keep it 100 most of y’all couldn’t tell non over the top weave from natural if offered $1million
