Am I missing something? Is 50 Cent still relevant in the rap game?

sorry but...I think we can just agree to disagree.

I think you have horrible taste in music.

ALSO lets not joke around.

50 is TOO FAR REMOVED from that shyt to even take it seriously. At least with Ross he manages play it up and stay connected to that lane...I just can't take 50 seriously otherwise.

I dunno breh, I'd rather listen to someone that sounds authentic over grimey production as opposed to someone who spits amazing ducktales over melodic beats. You do you though b.

This shyt aint horrible to me, this shyt is :ohlawd:

Oh trust me I'll be there on Day 1 listening to the leak like everyone else. I'm a 50 fan for life.

But if you told me it wasn't comin out or that it got delayed again.... then :manny:.

I can dig it breh, we've been promised the album for so long I'm not gonna be disappointed if it gets pushed back again, but that doesn't stop me from anticipating it and hoping for the best.

50 Cent is still relevant and yes he still has fans. GET OVER IT

People like Nas, Jay Electronica, Jay Rock etc aren't relevant at the moment.

lol at Napoleon he listens to Drake and Justin Bieber and says "50 is TOO FAR REMOVED from that shyt to even take it seriously. At least with Ross he manages play it up and stay connected to that lane...I just can't take 50 seriously otherwise."

You keep exposing yourself. You can't take 50 (1 of the realest street dudes) seriously, but you say William Roberts manages play it up and stay connected to that lane.

Your clearly a young kid from the burbs. Weren't you hating on Maino the other day lol.

Gotta disagree homeboy.

I'll never forget that high when I heard Blueprint the first time. You know that feeling I'm talkin about. That feeling you could only get when you hear an album you know is gonna be with you for life. The type of album you know you're gonna have memorized from front to back in about 3 months time.

So when he dropped BP2 a year later - even though I loved it and I fukked wit it heavy - I couldn't help but feel like it was a drop off. It's not a knock on the album itself I'm just sayin it didn't take me there like the first BP did. And that's probably the biggest reason why that album gets shytted on like it does. Not cause it's wack, but because the expectations were so astronomically high comin off the first BP. But when he dropped The Black Album I felt that high again. I think everyone did. That feeling of "aw damn this nikka just did it again." That feeling of an instant classic.

Nas took me there more than once.
The Mobb took me there more than once.
Em took me there more than once.

50 took me there once.

That's the difference.

And I love 50. Don't get it twisted I ain't hatin on the guy. But once he peaked it was a steady, STEADY decline.

Yea I see what you mean. I didn't start listening to rap until 2000/2001 area. The first album I heard by Em was TES. Obviously Mobb's best work was behind them at that point (and I didn't start listening to them until a few years later). I've never been a big Jay fan other than RD. I like Black Album but it never resonated with me like that. Nas' Stillmatic and Lost Tapes were like that for me though.

For me personally though BISD did have that kind of effect on me, at least to some extent. I had that album in heavy rotation when it first came out. And I still love that album as I've expressed on here, even if it does have some weak cuts. First time bumping Death to My Enemies and Stretch in the car :banderas:
