Is he still relevant?!?! CHECK THE VIEWS! Dude just dropped the song of 2014 The Funeral and in just 2 days has half a million views! He may end up with a massive 3 million views (just like "Financial freedom"). I'd like to see so called "hot" rappers like drake or jay z get 3 million views with solo tracks

Is he relevant? why do you and the others dude care if he's relevant? That should be your first question, you are wondering why and the only reason you're wondering why is that you are a follower and trends are your god. Who cares if someone makes a thread about an artist they like, that artist is "relevant" to him not you and that is why it is the most misused word in rap. Relevancy is a personable term, not a catch all term. Jonathan Butler is relevant to me, as well as a host of other artist that doesn't get mainstream appeal.

I think you guys who always trying to drum up clique hate shyt, just need to get over yourselves. Someone like shyt you don't go figure.

truthfully, 50 is "done" as a rapper but he's still relevant because unlike 99.9% of rappers who are finished, 50 is rich, has outside interests and those ventures keep him relevant. Also, 50's street "gangsta" has been in the news as of late because of the Henchmen/Mazaradi stuff and we're getting a glimpse of the street shyt that Interscope/Shady/Aftermath didn't care to play up back in 2003. 50 is also very smart and hence, has bought himself some "bonus time" with regards to his relevancy even tho the current state of the rap game just doesnt have a taste for his music anymore (and probably never will on a mainstream level)

I cosign this....

but 50 has sold enough records in the past that I think he still has a sizable core fan base. I think he could still sell the amount of units rick ross and 2 chainz does today just off his name and what he's done in the past. That would be a major fall off for HIM but for the average rapper it'd be considered solid.
