"Is 50 Cent still relevant?"

translation: "I'll only listen to him if everyone else says it's ok because I can't form my own opinions about music" :stopitslime:

50 Cent > whatever garbage 2014 rapper you're listening to.

And smh at people saying "ain't nobody checking for 50 in 2014." That's the very definition of a bandwagon fan. 50 Cent still makes the same music he's always made. If you liked him and listened to him in the past, there's no reason to not listen to him now. He's been putting out dope music. But some of you obviously don't give a fukk about music quality and only listen to shyt like it's a popularity contest.

It's these white boys, they love 50 for whatever reason. That's why real world perception and online perception of 50 would appear so different to u if you're a BLACK hiphop head. REMEMBER these hiphop forums are about 80% white.....u and I both know nikkas ain't fukking with Curtis like that no more, but let these white boys tell it he never fell off.

Perception vs reality.....they haven't a clue about OUR reality my dude
Yeah must be. I made this thread on some legit confused shyt after I keep coming in here and seeing 4 or 5 50 cent threads on the first page everyday. Got me thinking like damn I don't hear nobody even mention his name outside of this forum, don't hear his music anywhere and just forget he exists until I come on here. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't out of the loop.

50 Cent Daytona 500 Press OP

The last time rapper 50 Cent was at Daytona International Speedway, he was making national news for his awkward attempt to kiss FOX Sports roving reporter Erin Andrews before the 2013 Daytona 500.

Back at the speedway on Saturday, 50 Cent joked he was here to try again.

When asked by Sporting News' Bob Pockrass what he was thinking last year when going in for the kiss, he laid it on the veteran reporter.

"I wanted to kiss her, man," 50 Cent said. "You really want to know? She handled it amazingly, too. It was just one of those moments. It was just an awkward moment."

"It was awkward to watch," Pockrass quipped, who then asked if 50 Cent went back and watched the video.

"No, no, no. That's probably what you do," 50 Cent said. "You probably recap it over there. I don't actually go back to watch the awkward moment I had, you know what I mean? He was probably watching it this morning and said, 'I'm going to see this guy today. Look at this idiot.'"

In case you missed the viral video, take a look below.

Will 50 Cent really make another attempt to lay it on Erin Andrews? Unfortunately, she will not be in attendance on Sunday, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have his eye out for other opportunities.

"I told (friends) that the women here are extremely hot," the rapper said. "I don't know if you know this, but outside of going to church, you can find good women in NASCAR."

Be sure to watch Sunday's Daytona 500 at noon ET on FOX to find a new sweetheart.

He just got the Forbes interview, and he was at the presser yesterday for the biggest CAC event in sports, both within a week span. I'd call that relevance :manny: First time I heard Major Distribution was on WGCI in Chicago, then I checked it out on youtube. Anyway, it's whatever, he's not paying me, I just don't get the hate :manny:

His mixtapes were nothing special, but I've never really cared that much about his mixtapes. I figure they're not album cuts for a reason. They did have some nice tracks though.

BISD was fire though, anyone who disagrees is deaf. And it was the exact same quality/style of music that 50 has always put out - at least with the good tracks. It wasn't as flawless of an album front to back though and had a few weaker songs (mainly the female focused ones).

This shyt from 2 years ago is one of the best songs he's ever made.

This is from a year ago

I mean yea he's put out some weaker tracks (in part because he just puts out too much shyt - 3 mixtapes in a year or so is clearly quantity>quality). But the dude is still more than capable of making dope music. Anyone who thinks he fell of probably wasn't a real fan of his to begin with, because as a fan of other artists who actually have fallen off (Em, Nas), 50's music has really not changed much.

Is The Beatles still relevant? The Stones?

It's music. Let him make music if he wants to. Age and "hotness" is whatever

He's in that Puff lame. He will always be somewhat relevant in the culture even when his music isn't.
