Am I missing something or have there truly been no dope projects for like 6 months?

i have no clue who these project titles belong to :ld:

Noname - Room 25
Mick Jenkins - Pieces of a man
Anderson Paak
Jessie Reyez - Being human in public
H.E.R
PJ Morton - Gumbo Unplugged (more than 6 months. Idgaf I love this album)

There's so much new shyt being released each week. You shouldnt have any problems finding dope shyt. Tidal's new album suggestions are on point as fukk. I just be on bart trying new suggestions. I found a cat named Smino the other week I'm catching up on now.

this is why the answer to your question is 'its you' :manny:

Fetti - gibbs and currensy
Tana Talk 3 - benny
Some Rap Songs - earl
Streams of Thought - black thought
Hitler Wears Hermes 6 - westside gun
Championships - meek mill
Behold a Dark Horse - roc marci
Mona Lisa - joell ortiz
Zion III - 9th wonder
86 Witness - sean price & small professor

might be best to holler at @ThiefyPoo for some soca recommendations brehette
I completely didn’t even look at meek’s album name

I fukk with curren$y but not Gibbs outside of a few tracks here and there. The rest of them cats I don’t listen to...I’m a west coast chick, ortiz Marciano and west side ain’t my cup of tea. Earl also isn’t, subject matter/age/personality miss match like a muthafukkka

Lol. Smino is my dude, I should’ve named him and n my OP

And I need to go listen to the kick Jenkins project, it’s in my list of stuff to catch up with. Just over his last few releases he’s become less of a day 1 listen for me

thas just ONE of your problems; you lettin the booth make ur mind up for you

the best shyt never gets stickied or gets sticked for like 1 or 2 days.

based on what you said you listened to i personally recommend these albums;

Mass Appeal Vol 1; Starting Five

9th Wonder Presents Jamla is the Squad Part 2

Bas - Milky Way

Swizz Beatz - Poison

Cormega - MEGA

Black Eyed Peas- Masters of the Sun Vol 1

people listed a lot of dope stuff in here but 99% of it was mostly boombap NYC rap

people dont read either; i see people listin meek still LOL

if cormega is not your cup of tea or black eyed peas sounds like a ridiculous suggestion, give them a try anyway.

they both have different types of sounds that are in a way parallel to the music they are known for but much more personal

the rest of the albums are flames breh especially the mass appeal and swizz
I’ll give 9th and mass appeal a swing. I can’t see myself fukking with cormega in 2019. And bep?

well definitely check out the swizz too; its got a few dope tracks. its strangley cohesive and contains a minimal amount of swizz yelling/hooks. probably cuz jcole.executive prod it.

the cormega was very melodic and poetic; it was almos r&b the way it came across.

no crime to jus check a youtube link real quick lol

You ain't heard the Masta Ace Breukelen Album with Marcopolo?

breh everything everyone listed in here is 90s nyc boombap. not OP cup of tea or yall got limited tastes lol

If you really think about it, 2010s is the first era in Hip-Hop with very little, if any, real classic albums.

The bar is low as hell

All the 2010s albums people say are classic were just very good

all the good albums were just iiight

and the iight shyt was actually trash

I hope the 2020's will be better. 90's fashion is heavily coming back. Maybe the youngins gonna recognize the old rap as better as well.
