I have a pretty broad palate and am open to new artists, thus this thread - let me know if I’m missing something (not dusty ass ny “bringing the feeling back” rappers). I’m always open to new shyt but hasn’t nothing been a home run for me outside of what I listed in op in the past 6 months

First off...I don't listen to these super young nikkas - baby, gunna, tamagachi, etc. so please dont drop their projects


That said, outside of meek, dream, a few loosies from KRIT, and part of anderson paak's album, i feel like i haven't had a good project to listen to in months. future's new album was garbage and on the r&b front, there are a few tracks i've come across but no ep's, mixtapes, or albums that got into heavy rotation either.


am i missing shyt or has it been legitimately kinda dead the past few months? i always look at what projects are stickied here and there hasn't been one i wanted to hear outside of those named above...

Why u keep saying dusty ass “bringing the feeling back” NYC rappers? U mean traditional sounding hip hop? Is that ur definition? Cause some shyt like Tana Talk 3 is no more dusty sounding than Pusha T’s album. And it is borderline better.

This thread kinda makes me understand why the young nikkas be saying they don't want to hear what us "oldheads" listen to. I'm going through Amazon Music, typing in albums from this thread and skimming through them...all this shyt sound like 90s NY shyt which aint nothing wrong with but it lowkey it really is boring as fukk. I dont like the young nikkas music either.

Maybe I'm outgrowing this genre
