This.this whole notion of just cause the handful of artists you listen to haven't delivered that the entire genre fell off is laughable is hell
maybe you need to branch out and start listening to better shyty'all nikkas stay thinking the world revolves around you
As opposed to listening to the same 5 or so rappers every year then claiming the genre is "dead" or "this year was trash" when they don't deliver? :meloword:Lol at these suggestions y’all stuck in the 90’s forreal
Tana Talk 3 is really Fire. :pdahellclean:Whats funny is barely any of the new shyt posted in the 1st few pages is really fire most if it is acquired taste shyt. But like somebody said there so much shyt outchea youll find something you cant help but not
I have a pretty broad palate and am open to new artists, thus this thread - let me know if I’m missing something (not dusty ass ny “bringing the feeling back” rappers). I’m always open to new shyt but hasn’t nothing been a home run for me outside of what I listed in op in the past 6 monthsThis.
Sorry dora, but it's the truth :dayum:
whats the last 2 joints b
thas just ONE of your problems; you lettin the booth make ur mind up for you
the best shyt never gets stickied or gets sticked for like 1 or 2 days.
based on what you said you listened to i personally recommend these albums;
Mass Appeal Vol 1; Starting Five
9th Wonder Presents Jamla is the Squad Part 2
Bas - Milky Way
Swizz Beatz - Poison
Cormega - MEGA
Black Eyed Peas- Masters of the Sun Vol 1
people listed a lot of dope stuff in here but 99% of it was mostly boombap NYC rap
people dont read either; i see people listin meek still LOL
if cormega is not your cup of tea or black eyed peas sounds like a ridiculous suggestion, give them a try anyway.
they both have different types of sounds that are in a way parallel to the music they are known for but much more personal
the rest of the albums are flames breh especially the mass appeal and swizz
Soca, you trini or some shyt.Nope it’s not you that’s why I’ve been listening to more soca than anything .
Soca on a another level right now.
Op is bugging and that new Future go hard!
That swizz Beatz record surprised me. That was very good.
Soca, you trini or some shyt.
You yardies don't know about no damn Soca. Stay listening to Nicki or some shyt lol jk.
You are missing something if you don't include the young catsFirst off...I don't listen to these super young nikkas - baby, gunna, tamagachi, etc. so please dont drop their projects
That said, outside of meek, dream, a few loosies from KRIT, and part of anderson paak's album, i feel like i haven't had a good project to listen to in months. future's new album was garbage and on the r&b front, there are a few tracks i've come across but no ep's, mixtapes, or albums that got into heavy rotation either.
am i missing shyt or has it been legitimately kinda dead the past few months? i always look at what projects are stickied here and there hasn't been one i wanted to hear outside of those named above...![]()
Why u keep saying dusty ass “bringing the feeling back” NYC rappers? U mean traditional sounding hip hop? Is that ur definition? Cause some shyt like Tana Talk 3 is no more dusty sounding than Pusha T’s album. And it is borderline better.I have a pretty broad palate and am open to new artists, thus this thread - let me know if I’m missing something (not dusty ass ny “bringing the feeling back” rappers). I’m always open to new shyt but hasn’t nothing been a home run for me outside of what I listed in op in the past 6 months
