Am I the only fine with how the NFL protects Quarterbacks?

Calling unecessary roughness on a quarterback when a dline player barely touches the qb or hits his helmet with his hand while trying to rush is unacceptable
:manny: trying to change the culture. You have to be heavy handed sometimes

The level of play drops tremendously when a backup QB is playing.

The best football is when you have competent quarterbacks.

I'm totally fine with the way the rules are.

Buncha soft 90's babies ... Terry Bradshaw didn't need the refs to hold his hand.

I'm fine with not being able to hit em in the head. I'm fine with not being able to hit them low. Now you can hit em dead square in the chest but if it's with the helmet, it's a penalty.

I mean damn its getting pretty close to impossible to get a legal hit on the QB.

negged for liking the pussification of the game. In 2005, 2 guys threw for 4,000 yards. In 2011, 3 threw for 5,000 yards. In 2002, Tom Brady led the league with 28 touchdown passes. Peyton threw 55 last year. I forget all the other shocking numbers, but this one should do it. Through 2007, only Dan Marino had ever thrown for 5,000 yards in a season. Since 2008, Drew Brees has done it 4 times, Peyton Manning twice I think, I think Brady did it twice, Matt Stafford has, and Eli fukking Manning came just 67 yards short of it too. In 2013, Peyton's 49 td pass season, his passes went 8.4 yards through the air on average. They went 6.2 last year. 49% of his yards were after the catch. Not being allowed to cover or hit anyone is bad for the game.
