Doesn’t sound like you wolfing.
I go about 5-6 weeks after my low cut to train my hair back.
After that cut after 5-6 weeks ya boy is spinning something crazy.
Get a good brush. Some olive cream and a Du rag. Discipline is the name of the game. You don’t brush you won’t wave. You don’t lay your hair down you won’t have any uniformity.
Also, if you don’t have somewhat nappy hair it’s gonna be that much harder for you to wave
Edit: somebody mentioned brushing in the shower. Absolutely yes. Brush your shampoo in your head, brush your conditioner in. When you dry it, dry in the same pattern that you brush. Apply moisturizer while it’s still damp. Brush it around. Tie down.
The longer you let your hair get the deeper your waves will be. If you really wanna be wavy get a trim after 4 weeks and go another 2-3 weeks and THEN get your fade. shyt will be sickening.
Stay away from pomade. Murray’s, 360 sport n waves all that shyt trash and for nikkas who don’t know no better. Stay away from kits. Stocking caps give maximum compression (they lay all sides down whereas durag really only get the top and some of the back/sides. So if your having problems with your sides your hair probably isn’t really laying down
